- Soundcheck is a live music night taking place in Ayr's finest small venue, The Market Inn. We showcase some of the UK's most established, bands as well as the very best of unsigned talent. UPCOMING UPCOMING! BANDS AND FANS ALIKE PLEASE READ!!
Hello everyone!
Just thought I'd post a wee note of everything that's coming up in the near future in case anyone is remotely interested
After our sell out gig at the market inn last friday we are having an acoustic night tomorrow (28th march) with six brilliant acts:
LITTLE FIRE, DAVID BURNS, DAVID HARDIE, STEVIE DUNN, JAMIE MARSHALL & STEWART THOMSON.
Tickets are only £5 and it starts at 8.30pm.
Next Thursday (3rd April) we have our next Soundcheck night @ CLUB DE MAR with:
THE HELMS, MEMBER OF THE WEDDING, THREE BLOCK FROM THE WAKE & BITS N PIECES
Same script, £5, 8.30pm.
And of course the AMAZING £1 VODKAS ALL NIGHT! All other drinks £2
Then on the Sunday (6th April) THE DIRTY HEPBURNS will be playing @ Capitol on Sauchiehall Street to secure a slot in this year's Wickerman Festival.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE show your support and come along to cheer them on. Let me know if you want a ticket as we only have 30 (it's to make it fair so all the bands have the same number of fans there).
Everyone who I've ever helped out/got a gig/leant money/saved from death please return the favour and buy a ticket - I'm not aking much!!
Ok I think that's everything for the minute. Thanks to everyone who has been coming along to support the band/gig nights up until now - it is very much appreciated, and I do have a memory like an elephant

NIGHT BUS TO GLASGOW! ABOUT TIME TOO
It’s great news that Stagecoach have started running a night bus between Ayr and Glasgow, meaning everyone doesn’t have to rush for the 11pm train
There are two buses. Timetable is as follows:
Ayr________00.10______01.40
Fenwick____00.49______02.19
Glasgow____01.20______02.50
Hurray! About time…

Oxford English dictionary: Close; an enclosed area within a building, with one entrance. - it also says that under no circumstances can a Close be located in Prestwick as Prestwick is pretentious! Don't blame me, blame the dictionary!!!
