for the unsuccessful bands who didnt get their ticket to the quarter finals, well, heres your second chance!!

We will be picking 5 lucky bands who played in the heats a chance to play in the quarter finals in April.

We will be announcing the 5 lucky bands at the ACADEMY BATTLE OF THE BANDS 08 heat on the 2nd of april 2008.

the bands that are chosen have to be present on the night to get into the quarter finals so make sure you head down to the academy to see if you have been chosen..

Phantom 105.2 in association with Spirit 57 presents the Battle of the Bands 2008 at Spirit 57 on Middle Abbey St starting on Wednesday January 9. There will be 13 heats in total, with weekly heats running all the way up to the final, which will be staged as part of the Green Energy Weekender in May. The winning act will not only perform a live set at Oxegen 2008 but will also receive €1,000 worth of studio recording time and radio airplay.
