It's the time of year of film festivals, the Cornwall Film Festival's just kicked off, Two Short Nights at the Exeter Phoenix is at the end of November and The View From Here, the South Devon film festival is carrying out filmmaking workshops for before it takes over the airwaves and screens between Decmeber 1 and December 5 throughout South Devon.

And there's still time to submit your film for the opportunity to be screened and one of the super events (but we would say that, we're helping to organise it). You've got until November 10, to submit your film.

What with Halloween just a pounce away, we thought it was fitting to bring a whole load of zombie news, not least because a group of filmmakers are looking for Zombie extras around Newton Abbot, Devon.

The Zombie news will be next week on D+CFilm (www.devon-cornwall-film.co.uk), and the Zombie film is made by those clever people at Realm Pictures, who also made the Numb video on this page.

With the run up to the View From Here film festival, which will be kicking up it's heels around South Devon in the first week in December, we're getting loads of workshops in place, so anyone can get a bit more experience on their way to the Oscar, Brit or gold-edged sweet wrapper (depending).
