- At the weekends....
- At the weekends we leave the old smoke behind and head to a local nature reserve where we help out with various practical conservation projects. We could be doing anything from path building to cutting down invasive trees to building an island! Projects are usually a day long on either a Saturday or Sunday and as we are volunteers there is usually a bit of fun too. Also the rangers usually take time out to show us around the reserves. Its a great oppurtunity to see Aberdeenshire and beyond and also looks GREAT on the old CV!
- ...the social side...
- It's not all work and no play! We have social events every other week too. In the past we have run bowling events, pub crawls and pub quizzes. If there is any social event you would like to see, let us know....it is your society!
- ....freshers...
- Don't be shy, come along and join us! Wether you study zoology or women studies, everyone is welcome! And if your not a fresher we'd still love to see you!

First Social!
Our first social of the term takes place at the Old School House on Little Belmont Street from 8pm on Tuesday 30th September! For those of you new to the city, Little Belmont Street is just off Belmont Street which I'm pretty sure you will get to know very well through Freshers Week!

Freshers Week: Give it a Go BBQ
Guys, Conservation Soc kicks off the year with a FREE barbecue on Thurs 25th September in the Wildlife Garden behind Crombie Halls from 1pm. If you don't know where the wildlife garden is, follow the smell of burnt burgers or there is a map in our Bebo photos.
We provide the food wether your veggie or a more carnivourous person. All you need to bring is yourself, something to drink and a few buddies if you wish. Free food. Can't say fairer than that!

hi, i'm a fresher-i went to that awesome free bbq thing, i'm doin ecology- i was wondering when the burning a field thing was going on, Gerant told us before (sorry, thats probably spelt very wrong) but i can't remember. i'm just trying to avoid accidentally telling my boss i can work that day.
