Long lazy days, sitting out in the back garden, park beach, sun beating down, having a refreshing sip of cider...... yes, thats what I'd love my summer to be. But really its more about my skin being bleached white with the glow of the computer screen for what seems to be my endless hunt of employment. I mean HONESTLY- surely everyone is as sick of me not having a job as I am?! Is this the beginning of the rest of my life? My prospects as an actor? Will I eternally be scouring the internet and papers for my quick fix before my next bout of unemployment? Urgh! COME ON! I have friends I want to treat, a man I want to make feel special and a sister I want to travel the world with.... and sure the best things in life are free..... but the really really good stuff isn't! So I beg of you- for my sanity and for my friends and families happiness- stop ignoring my emails or rejecting my CV... it only takes one person to give me a job- one person! Surely in the world full of billions of people... surely its possible for just one person to give me a break!

It's funny how the small things can really give you that little boost you need to remind you that its not as bleak as you think it is. Okay- so its 1:30am and Im kicking about online still so I have this insatiable urge to just blah blah as I do when there's a lot going on in my head and the laptop if little less of a stretch than my notebook.
So what am I so chuffed about? Its being on top of my college work... mostly. After having The Fear put in us by Stow's most formidable pair, there was much of an erm and an erring about how many monologues we had found. Truth was although we said 'Oh Im still looking for my third' so as not to have Brenda look like a tool after her 'Do it in the Down Week' talk... what we were really doing was budgeting to think- can I afford to go online tonight and buy my body weight and the weight of this graded unit on my shoulders in plays??? Answer- by the looks of most people's pages- it was Amazon! Class A should set up a tab!
But I did it, it may need to be shifted around and they may not be good, but I read a trilogy of monologue books and managed to pick out 2 pieces I bought online, one that I know I can borrow a copy, one that I'll see if I can find in a library (just in case) and a couple of ones incase things are totally bleak.
Next thing that I recalled was my resit for a progress report- so I banged out another 5 words and thats that ready to be printed to hand in on Wednesday. I've got my scenes to have a swatch of before Wednesday's read through. And I need to find my monologues that I've to have ready for Wednesday too.... god knows where they've disappeared to *hmmm* but that's my next little goal- I have all of tomorrow to learn one.
And once thats done? Well I've got a nice little Pantheonian Readthru to cheer me up tomorrow night. All thats really left is the financial struggle.... my white whale.... my black spot..... my red credit and a whole other manner of colour inspired metaphores. But all I need to sort that is a job. A job!

So, even though I have the war to go- it's the small battles I win that keep me going.
