Nigel H is passionate about music and making the mood work. He plays every genre of house music because he knows what clubbers want; TUNES!!. Nigel H has always operated several miles ahead of his dance music colleagues and his reign over the club community comes from an innate talent and taste for creative exploration. Although he has achieved more than most, Nigel’s passion and ambition continues to push the boundaries of house music. While lesser DJs bow to the whims of clubland fad and fashion, Nigel H continues to stand as a reliable, steadfast pillar of dance floor excellence. Who

To truly understand Nigel H is to understand over 20 years of passion, commitment, dedication and an absolute love of house music. From the very first time he heard house music it consumed him and from that minute on his life has revolved around finding those ‘special tunes’.

What

Nigel H has been playing in his hometown of Dublin since 1992 back in the early days of the Irish dance scene. His first event was at the infamous Mansion House, one of first weekly underground dance events in Dublin, before any nightclub was playing dance music.

Soon afterwards, he became resident DJ with Harmony Promotions, who ran nights at Dublin's Ormonde Multi Media centre. As well as playing, Nigel also began booking some of the UKs best acts. He organised and headlined a number of events which featured the best of the underground labels from the UK.

He then ran a series of blistering "Best of Irish" gigs which brought together the best DJ's from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland . This event toured Ireland, playing in Cork, Galway, Donegal, Belfast and Dublin to huge success .

Reaching a bigger audience to share the passion became his next goal and he achieved this in 2004 with a guest spot in ‘Sliver’ in Cape Town, SA. His popularity grew each time he returned to the Cape and this culminated with guest gigs in other cities and venues. As with all his gigs, consistency has resulted in Nigel amassing a huge fan base in South Africa who eagerly await his regular visits bringing his unique sound and amazing sets.

Meanwhile back home in Dublin, Nigels next goal was to do something new and untried. Gigs on a Sunday!! As the name suggests Nigel saw a gap on the Dublin scene as at the time there was nowhere for clubbers to go on a Sunday. Unheard of at the time to have a gig on a Sunday, other promoters in Dublin were pesimistic and many doubted it would work. But, once again, determination and good music won through and Popcorn grew in popularity every week culminating ?? in a 12pm – 12am set to a packed house. Since then, other promoters in Dublin have followed in Nigels wake and Sunday is now a regular night on the dance scene although no one has yet to equal his amazing 12 hour sets.

Following the success of Popcorn, again Nigels relentless ambition found him in the UK where he was introduced to Arrowscore (website) and their unique ?? bus. Once again, the music spoke for itself and in just 6 short months from their initial introduction Nigel is now a Resident DJ, and sole international DJ, on their radio station, Black Bus Radio, beaming weekly live mixes around the world as well as playing guest slots at the numerous festivals Arrowscore attend (Bestival, Wakestock etc.). His radio show listenership has grown steadily in its short history and is fast becoming one of the most popular internet radio shows with listeners all over the world (see below).
