Nothing much new to report. Actually I'm only writing because I found an old friend here that I want to add. Just to make sure she knows who I am. *lol*

Watching some episodes of American Idol 6, I can't help but wonder, why there are so many loosers on the German version compared to the US-version.
And I'm talking about the quality of the singing, nothing else.

It's actually nice to hear most of them sing and it sounds really nice... Even in the first casting shows, they sung better than most of the finalists of our German version of the show.
Well, not the guys Not all of them - but man...
This year's winner in Germany, Mark Medlock, can actually sing and has his own style of singing and so on... But I'm taking all bets that he'll sink in the end, because here in Germany they just don't know how to make a star out of an Idol winner. They usually go down a few months, a year at most, after the show is done. No matter how talented (or not) they are.
And that's a shame. I wonder what it's like in the US.
I mean, we all know Kelly Clarkson - but she's one of dozens of people who have won a show like that.

Another problem with Mark Medlock, the winner of German's Idol show is that they're probably gonna have him sing stuff, that really, really doesn't fit his style.

The blond guy with the white jacket and blue shirt is the one who wrote the song (and he LOVES Mark Medlock) - so that explains his almost relgious way of listening to the guy sing.
