- Deviation was started by Andy & Kelvin, playing at Bars all over Inverness. After 2-3 yrs of packed out gigs and mad after partys they met the third member, Dave. Since then they have became a well established club night in Inverness having a monthly club night at The clach club of which brought you Slam and Cagedbaby. Since then they have played with such acts as Fergie, Public Domain, Deepgroove at the Ironworks music Venue in Inverness. Now coming your way is a new monthly night being held at Bakoo nightclub in Inverness every 3rd saturday of the month.

MAURO PICOTTO, SLAM, MALLORCA LEE, DAVID FORBES and so much more....
Had a great day/night at PARTY ON THE PITCH on Saturday.
The drive up was unreal, all the cars stopped and pulled into the side of the road as we drove thru a thunderstorm. I was on ealry and could not stop - felt like i was driving under water.
Got there and the Pitch was a bit wet, they did not get the worst of the rain !!!
Inside the tent there was a crowd building up and getting into the sounds of the tent.
David was on at 6pm and got the crowd going with some tough Techno and nice uplifting Trance (CDJ Set), he had to dash staright after his set so he was on the red bulls once again ! I was on next (CDJ set) and looked out some dirty techno and tech trance, my tunes of the night have to be Marcel Woods remix of Pressure and the new MARRZ track on Detox. SLAM were on after me so I did not want to go too fast. The crowd of 400 plus were getting right into the grooves. The Highland crowd just know how to party, everyone was wet in the tent but loving he vibe.
Next up were Slam, who I have to say were cool as fuck. These guys have been a huge inspitartion to me since, well as long as I can remeber - from DJing at The Stone Roses concert in Glasgow Green, their music and to the SLAM tent at T in the Park. Stuart was on first (CDJ set) playing stripped back techno, even dropping MAuro's new track, while Orde plugged in his laptop to the mixer (Final Scratch). Then Orde came on and kept the pace building from where stuart left off, there was some great sounds coming out the speakers and the vibe just kept building, only the way Slam know how.
Next up and to round of the night was Mauro, he took to the decks 30 minutes late but made his hour twisted, playing minimal techno that he is know being know for. It was closing time all too soon, the crowd did not want to leave..... luckily there was an after party.
The Deviation crew were rocking the already packed dance floor at the after party by the time we arrive, Mauro was on next with some more dirty techno then I went on and played for 2 hours till close, I looked out all my dirty tribal stuff and got the place going mental. I have too say the After party weas just as good if not madder than the tent.
I went back to my hotel, dripping with sweat and a smile from ear to ear...
Big shouts out and loads of love to Peter for puting the PARTY on the Pitch event together. He took a huge gamble and spent alot of money putting it together, sadly the weather went against him and he never got the numbers he had hoped for to break even. Anyone who has promoted their own night and lost money will know the feeling...... I told him to keep my fee, i know it aint gonna fix everything but every penny saved helps.
