Iron Horse Rider – a review by Belt Drive Betty
When I received Adelle Lauden’s book “Iron Horse Rider” I wasn’t really sure what to expect.
I sat down with a hot coffee and curled up in my arm chair and cracked it open.
My husband walked in the door about an hour later and saw me crying. “Are you ok?” he asked.
“Yes, I am, I’m reading a book that touched a nerve.” I replied.
A little while later I was laughing and he asked what was so funny and again I replied “Just something I read….”
As I read this book and was transported by the imagery and the raw emotion that the words on white paper evoked, I thought to myself, what a treat!
You will meet 2 very different people who come from 2 different worlds but who share similar experiences of loss. They are at different places in their healing but are on the same journey. The quest to find a reason to live; to go on after horrible personal loss, their journey, the feelings of guilt and elation, confusion and clarity, it’s a wonderfully written book that will have you looking at your own life and death, your relationships and your happiness in very different ways when you are done.
You will laugh, cry, giggle and smile.
The book evokes emotion and after all isn’t that what a good book does?
I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
