- We are the almighty Troon Ladies! Otherwise known as Troon Tarts!! We have just finished another successful season in Division 1 of the West District League, finishing runners up to Glasgow Western, there being only 2 points in it. We also got through to the final of the District Cup, which we won last year, missing out to Glasgow Accies.
We train at Cambusdoon on a Wednesday 7pm - 8.30pm and play our home games on a Sat 1pm at Whitletts, Ayr. Any new recruits are welcome, we're very nice people and don't bite, you would be very welcome.
PS You don't have to be a tart! Not only do we love playing hockey but we do enjoy a wee tipple as well, you can probably tell from our night out pictures! Enjoy the page!!!!

FINALLY THE LEAGUE HAS STARTED
After a long wait we have finally played some League games. The first game was away to Cumbernauld. We struggled with our match fitness and lost 4: 2. We then played Glasgow Uni at home and drew 1:1. The following weekend we were up against league leaders East Kilbride and played some lovely hockey. We were up 2:1 and crusing nicely to victory, we played the better hockey but our failure to score more goals meant they came back at us and won 3:2. Our defence was outstanding and overall it was a good team effort. EK complimented us by saying we were the best team they had played so far. We then went on to win our next 2 games against Garnock Ladies away 2:1 and Loch Lomond away 4:0.
Our next game is on sat 29th Nov against our old favourites Glasgow Accies.
We have a few injuries to some key players so lets hope we can pull together and get a result.0 Comments 349 days

Yes Miss Brolly , i am really getting into this Bebo stuff. I think more comments should be left on our Hockey page, especially to attract new members to our club. Remember we won't be the same Troon Ladies in 5 years. Just think i'll be 40 by then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you might be making my falsers for me.

The Cup Final on Saturday against Glasgow Accies. I don't think we should be to disappointed girlies. I think we had a lot going against us before we even started. Perhaps if the League had kept the original date, who knows, Carly would have been available, my back would have been better, the what if's are endless. Well we are still runners up in both the League and the Cup, still not bad considering the changes throughout the season we have had to make.
Once again i am full of admiration, as an auld burd to our relentless young captain and amazing player, Fiona Reid. I don't think our team would be the same without her talent and hockey brain, which sadly some of us are lacking. You know who you are. (i'm one of them).
Enjoy your break guys cause it's all going to happen sooner than you think. See u at the AGM, for some interesting chat.
I shall be back next season, fuckin awsome night last night girlies!!!xXx

That was much better on Saturday girls. More like the old Troon. Less chat and more action. Keep it coming. This has been a funny old season, with suprising results. Still lets keep it up and go forth.....................
