- The programme for the Dublin LGBTQ Pride Festival 2009, "Pride & Prejudice?" will be officially launched on Tuesday 26th May in Glitz nightclub.
Pride also welcomes our 2009 Grand Marshall Ailbhe Smith to the launch and guest speakers Ivana Bacik & openly gay candidate Lisa Connell

Calling all budding filmmakers! Dublin Pride wants you to produce a short film for the first ever Pride Film Shorts competiton. We want you to produce a short film be it live action, animation, fiction, drama or documentary that’s based on this years theme, "Pride and Prejudice?"
We will be showing the top shortlisted films at the Pride Film Short awards night in Pantibar on Sunday 21st June.
Closing date for submissions along with completed application form is Friday 5th June 2009. Application forms can be downloaded from www.dublinpride.ie

Thursday 10th Of September is World Suicide Awareness Day.
To mark this event, community groups from across Belfast are participating in an “Walk of Life” to raise awareness of the issue. Groups from across the city are leaving their perspective headquarters to march to City Hall for 6am, to mark this as a Belfast wide event. The event is scheduled at this early time to symbolise travelling through darkness and into light as an expression of hope for those bereaved through suicide.
We would like to march from our building Memorial House waring Street at 5.00am

Sparkle’s is a three day celebration that has never before been done in Limerick. It is a weekend of understanding, acceptance and fun. Sparkle’s is a safe space for members of the LGBT community and their friends.

If you go to nothing else this year go to Queerbash. Our annual fundraising event, usually incorporating approximately 400 people, this will be a night of total debaucracy and madness!
