Hotmail don’t make it easy, but I eventually managed to prove to them that I was who I said I was, and I got my account back. Everything was intact, except for my facebook page which had been totally deleted.

I contacted facebook (who make it easier than hotmail, I must point out) and they still had my page saved, so I got that back too! Despite how frustrating the whole thing was I’d say for big companies it’s pretty good they were able to deal with all this in less than 24 hours.

Anyway this is just to let everyone know that things are all G.

My Windows Live/Hotmail/MSN account was hacked sometime last night or this morning. The secret question and alternative email address has been changed and, as far as I know, there is no way for me to gain access to it.

This isn't huge or anything, just a bit of an inconvenience. I consider myself lucky with how few hacks I've had (only one, which was bebo back in late 2006). But i should let u know that if you receive anything from smudgefish@hotmail.com, or something strange from anything else anything claiming to be me, it almost certainly isn't.

I'll be making a new email address soon, which I'll post if you want to re-add me In the mean time my facebook and bebo pages have had passwords and email addresses changed so (I think) it's still all G to contact me through there
