  • SUPPORT THE CAUSE - LEAGUE 4 SAMOA 10TH OCTOBER 2009

    Get to Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday 10th of October for an afternoon of
    SLAMMIN’ & JAMMIN’ 4 SAMOA as Pacific Rugby League & Entertainment
    combines to raise funds for Tsunami relief. The best of Samoa’s home grown
    talent has arrived in New Zealand to play the best of our national competition.
    - TOA SAMOA DOMESTIC vs BARTERCARD PREMIERSHIP SELECTION -
    Kiwi icon Ruben Wiki will come out of retirement to play for Samoa in honour
    of this great cause and his own heritage.

    The curtain raiser will showcase many of the best women playing Rugby League
    in the Pacific as FETU SAMOA
    take on an AUCKLAND INVITATIONAL team
    in a 9-a-side exhibition match. The local team will be stacked with Kiwi Ferns
    and led by three times World Champion & Kiwi Fern Captain, Luisa Avaiiki.

    The event is proudly supported by The Pacific Music Awards Trust who are
    providing performances from a great line up of artists including the Yandall
    Sisters, Lapi Mariner, Anonymouz, Natasha Urale, Cydel, Dei Hamo and For Da
    Grind. NZ Police Recruiting are providing sound and staging support. This is a
    chance to get a taste of what’s in store at upcoming tsunami benefit concerts.

    Peter Charles Leitch QSM (our old mate the Mad Butcher), is coming out of
    BBQ retirement to cook the sausages himself (with help from some of his
    famous footy mates). Every dollar earned will be donated to the appeal & will
    be matched dollar for dollar by a cash contribution to the appeal… HE’S MAD!

    1.00pm Gates Open (Mt Smart No.1, Gates B & C only)
    1.30pm Entertainment begins
    2.30pm Kick off – Curtain raiser (half time entertainment @ 2.40pm)
    3.00pm Entertainment continues
    3.30pm Kick off – Main game (half time entertainment @ 4.10pm)

  • Tsunami 2009 Relief Appeal

    I'm looking for entertainers/performers to volunteer and support a fundraiser concert this coming Saturday 10 October starting at approximately 1pm at the Ericcson Stadium, Penrose, Auckland.

    If you are keen to be a part of the entertainment programme to support the Tsunami 2009 Relief Appeal please email through all your details to Petrina George at pgeorge@apra.com.au or contact Petrina on (027) 2451898 ASAP so we can get the ball rolling.

    This event is being spearheaded by Rueben Wiki, Mark Goshe & NZ Rugby League. The concert is being co-ordinated by the Pacific Music Awards Trust.
