• Leona Lewis and Black Eyed Peas perform live

  Leona Lewis and the Black Eyed Peas are to perform live on The X Factor tomorrow.
  Former queen of The X Factor, Leona Lewis, will perform her single Happy, ahead of the launch of her new album Echo on 16th November. Whilst U.S chart-hoggers the Black Eyed Peas will perform their new single Meet Me Halfway, which is due out on 2nd November.
  This will be Leona's third time back on the show, so tune in on tomorrow’s results show to see these star guests perform.
  Tonight at 8, the battle for the crown continues as the eight remaining acts step onto Britain's biggest stage for the fifth live show and perform the songs from the big screen. Dermot will be on hand to deal with the war of words as the judges give their views on each performance and defend their singers. Next time, one act will be leaving the competition.

• Rachel Adedeji voted off X Factor 2009

  Rock week's gave us Bon Jovi, the return of JLS, and the exit of Rachel. After the drama of last night’s rock-themed extravaganza, it was with baited breath that the nation switched on to last night’s results show. All nine acts got the show off to a rocking start with a group performance of Walk This Way, before Bon Jovi showed us how the pros do it singing their new single We Weren’t Born To Follow. This time last year JLS were one of nine acts all hoping to win The X Factor, last night they returned to the show as double MOBO winners intent on stealing the No1 spot from Cheryl Cole with their new single Everybody In Love.
  It was then time to face the results.

  7.and after Dermot had finished reading the names out... John and Edward were through and only Rachel and Lloyd were left!
  Rachel bravely took to the sing-off stage for the third time and delivered a perfect rendition of Stop Crying Your Heart out by Oasis. Lloyd battled through You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker, but a sore throat prevented him from hitting all the high notes.
  Dannii and Louis opted to save Rachel, Cheryl stuck by Lloyd, and when Simon couldn’t decide, it was taken to the public vote… and with that Rachel was gone but she will return with the other acts who left the show for the first live performance of The X Factor charity single on 15th November. The public has spoken – eight acts remain, as week by week we get a step closer to crowning The X Factor champion 2009.
