Pride of the Hill are a loyalist flute band from Carnmoney. Carnmoney is a small village attached to Glengormley which is in the Newtownabbey area just outside Belfast. Pride of the Hill have members from all over Newtownabbey and Belfast and always welcome members from any area.
Pride of the Hill were formed in the year 1985 and from then the band have grown strength to strength throughout the years to the current day.
When the band was formed the band walked on average with 4 drummers and 8 flutes to now the band is walking with 15 drummers and 30 flutes on our books.

Membership
For as long as the band scene continues and Pride Of The Hill remain on the road, we will always be on the lookout for new members to join the band.
We are a self taught band which means even if you cannot play an instrument, you can still come along to practise and be taught by an older member of the band. This way, we can keep good track of what members are learning, keeping the standard of the band as high as possible.
If you think you have what it takes and would like to take part in parades week in week out with Pride Of The Hill, Carnmoney, then why not come along and join in. We can accept people wishing to do any of the following; Side Drum, Bass Drum, Flute and Carry a Flag in the Colour Party.
Our main practise takes place on a Monday evening from 7:30 o'clock until 9 o'clock. For more information on where the band practises contact the webmaster at pothc@pothcarnmoney.co.uk.
Anyone wishing to join the band will be given an equal warm welcome by the present members of the band.
