The highly anticipated debut album from The End Again entitled “My Love is Dead” is set for release on the 18th of May 2009.

Born of past lives and past loves the sound is described as ‘melody in self destruct’. With a spectrum of sound from the beauty and humbleness of piano and orchestral ballads to the vocal and guitar ripping bite of ‘screamo’ this album will cling to your senses.

Hailing from Dundalk, Co. Louth, The End Again; Ronan McCrory – vox/guitar, Ian Harold – drums, Kev Carroll – guitar, and Ger Murphy – bass/vox; the band drifted together in the usual fashion and culminated in music, which can only be described as ‘melody in self-destruct’, Their musical reference points include Deftones, Breaking Benjamin, Tool, and Rage Against the Machine to name a few.

The band has been touring constantly since their formation in early 2006 including a number of nationwide tours with Rage Against The Machine Tribute band 'Bulls On Parade'. The 2006 tour also included the band’s first over-sea’s performance in the Apollo 2 Theatre in Barcelona, Spain.

It was recorded at Dundalk's Tumbleweed Studios from May 2008 to February 2009 with good friend Jason Varley at the production helm. ‘My Love is Dead’ will be launched in The Spirit Store, Dundalk on May 16th 2009 with advance copies available on the night. This will be followed by a nationwide tour with the intent to push farther a-field to make 2009 a big year for the band. The album is being released through Flat Battery Records and will be available from www.theendagainband.com ; Tower Records and www.itunes.com

  • Update on all things The End Again.....

    Ok, so it's been a little while since we've posted anything here. As you can see we've a few new gig dates added.

    We're playing our first Dublin show since the album tour in June (The Button Factory that time) on Saturday 12th December.This time we're hitting Fibbers on Parnell Street for the first time, which we're pretty excited about. We'll be supporting Dublin band 'Xerosun' on this date (check them out at: www.myspace.com/myxerosun). They've a new album coming out soon so keep an eye out for them!!

    We're also really looking forward to playing 2 dates with 'Mike Got Spiked' in the INF, Warrenpoint on Saturday 19th December and The Spirit Store, Dundalk on the 30th December. These will be homecoming gigs for Mike Got Spiked considering they've spent the vast majority of the past couple of years touring over 40 states in the USA!! They won't be back in Ireland for long by all accounts (recording album number two and then heading back to the states) so make sure to check them out at one of these two shows.     We've also been working on some new material with a some new tracks in the pipeline. One or two might get an airing at the shows in December, we'll see... :)

  • The End Again - 'Best Metal Band' at Dundalk Music Awards...

    The End Again have been voted 'Best Metal Band' at the Dundalk Music Awards, something which we're totally thrilled about!

    Thanks so much to anyone who voted for us, and a huge thank you to Highway67 for organising the event, we're looking forward to next year's already.

    Oh and Ger won 'Best Bassist'... :D
