Last Meeting of Year folks

Awell last one already, As soon as the weekend is over the HONDA IS UP FOR SALE.
Anyone intrested can have it just let me know asap as the sooner i sell it the sooner i get my other bike.

So next weekend will hopefully be my last ever proddy/Stock 600 race as im fed up of cheaters getting away with it!!!!! So either an R1 or GP250 for me as its more fun that way.

Passed my theory test this weeek aswell which is awesome and also passe dmy phone interview for sky so this weeek ive been buzzzing, apart form being off work as im not feeling to good!!!..........
Ill also be competing on the Mini bike Charity endurance on the Saturday 19th at night, Cant wait to get out and play

Dont think i got anything new to add but parents away on holiday so im left to fend for myself on the munchie front and house work but i got my instruction manual.

August 2009 already, Where has the year gone. Well lets start from May in which I did not race in any meetings due to finances which is understandable. Then came June and July in which I made the worst mistake ever as I had a go on a motocross bike. Was out at Oakley bings with Andrew Tasker for a bit of fitness and to learn something new until about 15 mins into the session I lost the front end trying to avoid and on coming rider. Ouch was my next thought and I knew I done some damage and after a small but safe drive to hospital I found out I dislocated my AC joint in my shoulder.
After nearly 4 months on the sidelines I was pretty fired up for the August meeting with the Melville Club.
There was no pressure as far as the championships are concerned so it was a chance to get back out and hopefully get back up to pace again. This weekend I was competing in my normal Superstock 600 Class on my (100% LEGAL) Honda CBR 600 and also on a Yamaha R1 thanks to Callum Macdonald and OakTree Contracts in the Formula Melville Class.
SATURDAY
Practice
In 1st Practice it was wet so I was like an old rusty nail out on track and didn’t really feel to comfortable to start off with, so I just slowly built myself up again during the sessions so at least I felt confident again to push hard.

QUALIFYING
My 1st qualifying session was going to be on the R1 so I was nervous for my shoulder but I knew anywhere on the grid would be a good start so I went out and took my time for the first few laps and on lap 8 I set my fastest time of 1:03:942 which was good enough for 5th and a front row start. I was kind of happy as that was my 1st time on a bike since April and on a bike I didn't see until Friday night. The 600 session went as well as I could have hoped as I knew this class has taken a level up since I was last entered into it with the inclusion of Bruce Birnie and ever improving grid of riders. Again I took my time and went out at the back and built myself up so by lap 7 I set my fastest time of 1:03:715 which was good enough for 8th place next to my good friend Andrew Tasker.
I was happy but I knew my old 2005 bike was going to struggle in this race.

Race 1
First Race was now on the Yamaha R1 from a front row start, I had no idea what to expect so I just went out and pushed as hard as I felt comfortable. My start was a bit shoddy shall we say but I gave me something to do was my excuse, so I was back in about 10th after Pates(1st corner). The guys ahead had been racing big bikes for aslong as I’ve been racing so I knew it wouldn't be easy but off I went. 10 laps seemed like about 20 nearer the end of the flag as I managed to get through a few riders then I got passed Alan bailey who unfortunately crashed out a lap after I passed him, after giving myself so much work to do Gary Hamilton on his Honda Fireblade was just to far ahead so 1st competitive race back I ended up 4th, Was really happy with the result and was getting more confident as my lap time was down to 1:02:218.
Race 1 for the stock 600 race I knew would be tough as they have all been racing all year so I wanted to have fun and see how I get on, start wasn’t to bad but was about 9th or 10th. I Eventually started getting more into the race and by about lap 8 I was up to 5th and pulling in on Bruce Birnie but it was just to late to get any higher so a good 5th for 1st meeting back was good enough for me but my lap time was still no where near where it should be as I only managed a 1:03:448.

Race 2
Due to the heavy rain in the morning we were running behind time so my last race of Saturday would be on the R1. Again I had nothing to lose so I got my head down and done the best I could.
My start was terrible again so about 10th or 11th this time from the start but it didn’t take me to long to get into it. This time Marti Brown,George Spence lasted all 10 laps without retirement so I knew with them in the race it would be harder. The Wind didn’t help me either but

Yaaaaay August and East fortune,
Stuart Anderson Racing will be thare after a long break from the sport.

The shoulder is healing up well but the strength will take time to come back.I have notice the improvement coming from injury in week 3 whare i struggled to do 5 push ups, im upto 25 now so its all coming back but its been tought to keep fit, So August maybe a struggle on my fitness.
I will be coming into east fortune from a long break since April. Everyone is going to have a huge advantage over me but i can only get my head down and get on with it.

Breaking News

I will also be competing at East Fortune on a 2008 Yamaha R1 in the Formula Melville Class (number #4 ) thanks to Callum Macdonald. So i shall be out in 2 classes for the 1st time in my career at a Melville Event.
