- The band was formed in 1962 in the Protestant area of Belfast , The shankill road.. At a later date down the year's the band had a Decline in numbers, They decided to close down off the road for a year or so then Reformed in Late 2004 , Then by mid 2005 the mighty Pride was in full swing AGAIN , Since the formation of the band we have travelled all over Ulster and to Scotland to take part in parades. We participate in all the major parades (e.g. The Twelfth and Apprentice Boys parades.)
After a lot of Fundraising and time and effort from all of the members, we are wearing The uniform now which consits off Peaked Hat , Navy jacket ( With a nice design ) Navy trouser's with a thin Red & Silver line down the Side , White Belt & Flute pouch . We also have a navy shirt & a white shirt which we wear when the weather is good .

Ulster Boy2 weeks agoi enjoyed last night, looking forward to the final, all bands played very well, will have the picture camera for the final and will see about getting a loan of a camcorder.
Have to admit, The Westies where brilliant and deserved getting through to the final.

Firstly on behalf of Pride of Shankill Flute Band, i'd like to thank the 3 bands who supported us on Friday 6th Nov - Heat 1, they were Steeple Defenders FB , Pride of the Hill - Carnmoney and Pride of Laganvalley. And thanks to all who turned up for making it a successfull night.
Once again,From myself and on Behalf of the POS I'd like to thank EVERYONE who attended to.night, and made it a very successfull night. Looking forward to the other 2 heats and of course the Final.
P.s - Thanks to the Fella from Charles Watson Memorial Flute Band, Clough. He won the Bottle of vodka from The Throw a penny. And donated it back to the POS. Thanks mate. Very much appreciated.
