Canada: whistler 08
Alright folks, i'm planning on going to Canada in March 2008 for a snowboarding/ski holiday and trying to get an idea of numbers.
Here's a quick look at the plan.
Dates: 1st March till 15th March (negotiable)
Flying: From Glasgow to Vancouver (and back, maybe ;-)
Resort: Whistler/Blackcomb http://www.ifyouski.com/Resorts/View...
Example price -
Hotel:
3 star hotel
£779 per person (room only) (this isn't that much more than we paid for the alps in 07)
http://www.fasttrackski.co.uk/ski-de...
Chalet:
I'm sure if we get enough people we could have a chalet or part of one to ourselves, it may work out cheaper.
Lift passes -
Passes can be purchased for up to 7 days (excluding seasoners) and there's a 20% discount for early booking
Prices below are already discounted, you can have any combination 7 + 7 days or 7 + 5 days etc depending on how much you want to board/ski
http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/res...
7 Days pass = £97
6 Days pass = £85
5 Days pass = £75
4 Days pass = £63
3 Days pass = £53
I imagine there will be a few extras on top of this like board carriage etc. I'll also need to eat and drink while i'm there so that needs to be factored into the price. It's not going to be cheap buy it will be feckin awesome.
The more people, the merrier so pass this on to anyone who you think may be interested. Also, i'm open to (sensible) suggestions about how to make it cheaper.
If your interested, please reply as i want to start paying this soon so i'm spreading the cost over the next 6/7 months.
Chow,
G.

Gilbert Liddell84 weeks agoIf you could help us out maintime that would be grand, i'll leave it up to you if you want to stick with it and try some giggs! The plan is to get a set reheasred as quick as possible and get some giggs on the go..!! Everyone has gigged before and is about the same age and has similar interests in music.
So you're up for coming along next Tuesday then? -
Stephen Frew84 weeks agoIf you want I'll play for you until you find a real bassist. Although I do like gigging.

I'm a decent bassist depending on what you are looking for. I am also an excellent backing vocalist.
I have a Fender USA Jazz Bass V-string with a nice wee Trace Elliot Combo.
No I'm not going to the dinner party. I heard it was ballgowns, tops and tails. Also I have a pub quiz to win. Jen knew that when she set the date.

That'll be us soon, snow long! yaaaaaasss!! can't wait.. BRING ON THE SNOW!!
