- A Little Bitter – New Dawn Evolution
Hailing from Northern Ireland, “A Little Bitter” have just released their 2ND album “New Dawn Evolution”. The power trio, formed in 2004, comprises of:
Jonny Armstrong Vocals/Guitar Darren Pilkington Drums/Vocals Seamy Donnelly Bass/Vocals
As with the bands previous output it was recorded at Manor Park studios with renowned producer Neal Calderwood (Therapy, Clutch, The Answer, Fighting With Wire, In Case Of Fire). New Dawn Evolution shows a marked growth in the overall band sound. It’s Heavier – Battlesong & Genghis, Progressive – Dark Tide and for the first time on record an acoustic element, Twist Her. All round New Dawn Evolution builds on the powerful foundation that the band laid with their debut album “The Blood”.
Influences range from ACDC, Metallica, Rush, Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam merged with a singer/songwriter lyrical sensibility. The band creates music that can be enjoyed with Horns in the air and a beer in hand or with headphones on to pick up the finer intricacies. Jonny’s vocals have a power & fragility likened to Corey Taylor meets Adam Duritz with a Chris Cornell middle ground.
“New Dawn Evolution” the bands sophomore album was released on May 1st 2009.
Press Clips For A Little Bitter
A Little Bitter’s sound should appeal to a reasonably diverse audience but will be of particular interest to those who like their metal to lean a little more on the progressive side fans of Soundgarden for example might be impressed……. …this is really good stuff and I’ve been really taken with the samples from the new album on the band’s Myspace page. There is some quality heavy riffing and plenty of moments that are guaranteed to induce the kind of involuntary head banging that you get when something is really hitting home……….
"great tone, great sound and great playing" Ciaran Tracey - MetalIreland.com
"“The Blood” is one of the finest hard rock CDs I have heard in a while. " Toby - BornInBlood.com
"The Blood is a highly promising debut album" Simon Bray - HardRockHouse.com

We are in the process of re-jigging our main site and one of the things that has been said to us is about the lack of a Forum, we have listen and I hope that it will be the source of craic it once was!!
We are open to suggestions for different themes and whatever banter you can throw at us.
Here is a link for now although it will be one click away on the main site before the end of the week.
