We've passed a trillion miles away from Earth
A few people have been asking how long it will take before we could hear a reply from our Message From Earth...
Well, it's just passed the 1 trillion mile mark :-) but it's got 119 trillion to go, and will reach the target planet in spring 2028.
As it will take over 20 years for a reply to come back it's going to be 2050 before we could receive anything - so I'm going to be nearly 80!
There's unfortunately no way of sending anything faster, as it's travelling at the speed of light (but we could recive a reply within our lifetimes - which is a pretty amazing thing I think).

hiya....ii was kind of upset that my message didn't get sent.....i'm always interested in this kind of stuff and i REALLY wanted to be involved with something so amazing...so yeh i am dissapointed...lol
