- Moesley
Welcome to the politely creepy world of Moesley. In an industry where the phrase"sounds like....."precedes the description of any band, Moesley are a musical anomaly with a true sound of their own. When asked, the band will cite a list of influences from Pink Floyd and Thin Lizzy to Bob Marley and Aphex Twin, but none of these influences are overtly worn on their collective sleve. Instead, haunting, visceral, honest and beautiful songs are at the forefront of their sonic assault, and over-the-top posturing takes a back seat to solid musicianship and songwriting.
Moesley officially released the debut single "All THATS LEFT" on 6th Oct and went straight in at no.28 in the Irish singles. Other releases have gained Moesley huge publicity with TV slots, numerous high profile radio slots (FM104, 98FM)........Moesley now contemplate the release of an album.

- Right time for a bit of fun. As yous know were all a bit mental in this band, so to celebrate this mentalness we want to give away free T-shirts. Anyone who gets their kit off at a Moesley gig during "I Want to see You Naked" will receive a T-shirt and will also get to rub Pauls belly, which is supposedly goodluck!!!

MOESLY SINGLE LAUNCH – TBMC, 6th October 2006.
Hey everyone just got this off Irish Underground. Its a review of our launch night gig. http://www.myspace.com/irishunderground
MOESLY SINGLE LAUNCH – TBMC, 6th October 2006.
Its 7.45 and we walk into a completely empty Temple Bar Music Centre, a little unsure as to what is exactly is going on. We're here to see Moesley and thought the place would have been starting to fill up by now so after asking one of the door staff what time the show starts we realise we're over an hour early. The show doesn't start until 9.00. So we decide to wait it out and get a few beers and head upstairs to sit down. Luckily the support acts were sound checking so there was something to entertain us.
Bang on 9.00 Eves Alibi came on stage. They consist of two guys playing guitar and singing. After having some set backs during sound check they play a cracking set, full of enthusiasm, honest lyrics and well structured guitars. Even with an alluring set they failed to really captivate the audience who one could clearly hear chatting over their songs. Although an enjoyable and impressive set there was a certain raw edge lacking from the performance. This taking the performance down a few notches to a 6/10.
The Blood Red Mountain band took to the stage next. Usually a 6/7 piece band they played with only four members. This took nothing from their performance and if they hadn't said anything one would never have known the difference. There was a certain Bluegrass feel to them with an edge of Buddy Holly rock 'n roll. Something about these just makes you want to smile. From the upbeat harmonies to the so solid bass lines and the strength of the front mans voice. They definitely would go down a treat and are easy to listen to so these guys get 7.5/10.
MOESLEY
It was 10.30 when Moesley took to the stage. Tonight is their night. Their entrance was most certainly anticipated. And it was most definitely worth the wait. As they took to the stage the half empty hall became flooded with bodies and the crowd erupted with cheers. Suddenly the previously quiet room became hot, sweaty and noisy. It must be said it is certainly hard to try and write/take notes on a band like Moesley. You are drawn into their world. I refrain from describing it as a gig because it was a show. Smoke effects, strobe lights and a performance bursting with vitality and passion. Moesley epitomise all that is original. If someone asks them "what do you sound like?" they can honestly say – "we just sound like us". Their unique sound sends shivers down your spine. It is warm, yet incredibly eerie. Smooth groves, solid drumming, epic guitars and a singer whose voice makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up come together to create this masterpiece, that is Moesley. It must be said they are also a much heavier experience than one would imagine. Although alternative or whatever one would say you can still rock out to these guys and have one hell of a night. This show was nothing less than spectacular and everyone should get to a Moesley show. And most importantly buy the new single "All That's Left" now and support them! Get to a show. You'll be in the presence of greatness and a band with huge amounts of potential. Simply 10/10!
