Über mich

Motto
Oh Yeah
Ich über mich
As I sit and watch the world go by,
I can't help but think and wonder why,
the sky is blue and the grass is green,
and of all the wonderful things I've seen. :)

THE NIGHT
The night, it hides in darkness,
the night, it thrives on fear,
the night, it haunts the daylight,
and brings to my eyes a tear,
for the night that lives in darkness,
the night that lives in fear,
is the night to bleed daylight,
only soon again once more be here.

THE WISH
This wish i wish I was a fish,
I wish this wish I do,
this wish I wish to swim around,
I wish this wish I do,
I wish this fish that swims with me could fly and become a bumble bee,
then it would be me who could see that this bumble bee was a fish that I wished could fly with me,
I wish this wish to fly so high,
this wish I wish to kiss the sky,
I wish this wish I really do,
Cos this wish is a wish that I wish for you.

that things just seem to go my way.

  • AWR American Wrestling Rampage 26-8-2009

I have been to maybe 19 or 20 wrestlings shows now at this stage, possibly more, with another 3 lined up for later this year, the greatest of which I have attended was the one I attended last night.

It was the second time I got to a American Wrestling Rampage show, both of which taking place in Tallaghts basketball arena, both times in the gold circle, this time front row ringside. They must be having problems selling tickets as the did not use the full capacity of the basketball arena which is quite a small place. With shows like the one I witnessed last night and the one I attended last october, it amazes me that tickets aren't gone within seconds of going on sale.

First match was Scotty 'too hotty' Vrs Kid Kash, both ex WWE stars. Great opening match and it wouldn't be right if Scotty didn't 'Kash' in (er hem) :) with his trademark 'Worm' manoever to pick up the victory. After the match Kid Kash began shouting at kids at ringside, scareing the crap out of them so when he came around by me, with his back to me I got up and said 'ah yeah, good man, scare the kids, how about you take on someone bigger and try scare me?', he turned around backed up, lookin right at me he said 'f**k you man', to which I continued 'come on, take me on, I'm right here'. He stared at me, backed up and left, and I had a good laugh with those around me. Just as well he didn't decide to take things firther as I recently done my knee in and it's still quite sore.

The second match was one amazing match that wasn't too kind to my knee. It was a triple threat match featuring Suicide Machine ( a guy I've seen a few times now, complete lunatic with some of the amazing stuff he does), Shawn Maxer (another guy I've seen a few times now, very impressive) and another guy who's name I can't remember. Amazing high paced, high flying match. One of the best matches I have ever witnessed. Shawn Maxer was thrown against the railings right by me and the guy (whose name I can't remember) dived right into him. My leg with the sore knee had been outstreached and was caught by the railings, it did hurt but what the hell, a fantastic match.

The third match featured my friend Joe E Legend returning once again to Dublin. Well I called him my friend as I have got to chat with him a couple of times in the past, nice guy very funny too. He took on Paul Tracey who was cut during the match around by his shoulder. Another excellent match, Joe picks up the win. It's the first time I'd seen him as a good guy rather than a heel.

Break time, before it continue with a flag match, Ireland Vrs UK. Joey Cabray taking on Dunkan Disorderly both had a someone in their corner. Flags hanging on poles, winner will be first to collect the relevant flag. Another really excellent match, with those on the outside getting involved, ending with Joey Cabray collecting the tri-colour.

Match number 5 and time for the first half of the double main event where the AWR championship was on the line. Champion 'french Phenom' Renee Dupree defending against former 1-2-3 kid X - Pack, who to me looked like he was on something (hopefully he wasn't) and seemed to have a slight injury. There wasn't as much high flying manoevers in this as i would have expected but still a great match none the less ending with Dupree being disqualified and holding on to his championship, also with X-Pack picking up a cut to one of his hands. Dupree is in amazing shape and is a class wrestler, I'm amazed he is not onto bigger things.

Last match of the evening and by far the greatest match I have ever witnessed, Rob Vam Dam Vrs Sabu in an extreme rules match. WOW what a match, with chants of 'Sabuuu' and 'Rob Van Dam' all through the match as well as 'holy shit' and 'ECW'. The match went over the railings and along the front row and right by where my self and brother Jody where. I really had to try protect my own Knee here too. RvD placed SAbu on th

  • My Stories

If you have looked at my blog in the past you may know I like to write stories and that it has been a while since I last posted a story here. That is mainly because I have come across a web site for short stories and decided I may as well start posting my stories there. The site is http://www.short-fiction.co.uk and my name there is actung.

It has been about two months now at this moment in time since I first started putting my stories up there. I have written some new stories since I last posted one here and I have posted some of them at the website. These new stories include 'ship of dreams', 'Haunted', 'Brothers of the village' and 'Torture 2', with more new stories to follow soon.

I wouldn't think of my stories/my writing as being anything special, but I do really enjoy writing and have been totally amazed by the reaction I've been getting fom that site. In the first 2 months my stories have a total combined amount of views of over 5000, with the first Torture story recieving the most amount of views and also being the most commented on story too, with people saying that it should be longer and others asking is there or will there be more parts and also saying that if there is no more parts then should be. So I have added a new Torture story, well it's more of a continuation of the last one, and if it goes anywhere near as well as the first part, then there is a hell of a lot more that I can do with it and it can lead to many more parts.

I have had the hope that at least one person somewhere would like at least one thing I have written and I have got that and more so I am quite happy. I'll continue writing and posting new stories at this web site, but it doesn't have a childrens section, so If I ever write new 'Billy and Barney' stories or 'Liggle Turkle' stories or any other new kids stories I will keep putting them up here.

If you have read any of my stories and have any opions on them, good or bad, please let me know.

  • U2 Croke Park July 2009

WOW WOW FRIGGEN WOW, I wish I had it to start over again. 88 hours of queueing for tickets, was it worth it?? HELL YEAH.

Friday July 24th, Got up at 4.14 am, why 4.14? I had my alarm set for 4.15 but I awoke before it went off, Guess who was ready for action. Left the house at 5 am over for the 5.30 Luas to town with my stool and bag of goodies. Arrived at Croker between 6.30/6.45 am, some French dude was given numbers to people as they arrived, I asked him had he ever been to Croke Park Before, he said no, I asked him had he ever been to Ireland before, he said no, I'm usually a nice guy but I just told him to go away he's wasting both our time, Numbers wont mean a thing, we'll all get in, just not in any particular order, but the numer he wanted to give me was 208. 207 people had arrived to Croke park before I got there.

Getting into Croker 4 years ago for the Vertigo tour was very badly organised, but it was much better organised this time. Just before 11am we were moved into the grounds of Croker where my stool had been taken off me, security are fools, 4 years earlier gates opened at 4 pm to a major crowd rush, this time everyone was sectioned off into rows labeled A B C and so on. I was in Row B, A would enter first then B and so on. I quite possibly had been the first actual Irish person to have arrived as those ahead of me seemed to have come from all over the planet, as for the next 5 or 6 hours I got chatting to a canadian, an american and a brazilian. Glad to have met them and always good to make new U2 aquaintances. They asked where my crowd where, Vincent, Pat and the rest of the regular U2 crowd were a couple of rows over and we had been letting each other know where everyone else was.

The wait was made sweet as U2's sound check began, and we were more or less treated to an extra half hour show, as we could hear them belt out Elevation, Beautiful day, Mysterious ways, Until the end of the world amongst others. A little after 4.30pm in we went, I had drank only 2 bottles of Lucozade all day so I made my final pit stop of the day, as there was no way I would leave the pit once I got there, and my position there could not have been any better, if I tried. Front and centre from the stage, absolutly perfect. Before entering the pit I had thrown away my bag of rubish which just happened to be where I had put a t-shirt I had just bought, I can't believe I threw it away without even wearing it aaarrrrggggg, however I did get another one on the monday.

Met Vincent and some other regulars in the pit, and my friend Pat also managed to make his way over to where I was :) . little after 8.45 on came the music Ground control to major tom David Bowie and all the pain I was now feeling in my legs and feet began to disappear. Out the came and began with Breathe. The two bridges connecting the main stage to the outer ramp moved, I was unaware of this previous to the show, one bridge went right over my head at one stage, but when they played Magnificent I was in between the 2 bridges, closer to the one on the left, check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APU74... ,
I can see my arms in the air in this vid as me and Pat as well as others Jump around like lunatics. With these briges and the other ramp and being in the pit it became like where do I look, Edge and Adam would be on the bridges, Bono on the ramp and Larry on the main stage. Brilliant show Brilliant night and when it ended, my legs and feet were in bits but I'd happily do it all again another 100 times or more.

Different parts of Croker made it nice to get different views for the next 2 shows, and I just can't believe it's over, but hopefully I may get to another show somewhere down the line. U2 Croke Park Something Else WOW.
