Event details are getting posted on the group page so you'd better join the group to find out more details of everything that's going on.

walk - Sat 5th Sept
Comment received after the previous walk:
When going to South Queensferry from Cramond last Saturday the 22nd An idea was put forward by myself to others in the party that we may try to have a go at the Water of Leith walkway.
According to a guide book I recently bought there are 2 possibiltys 1,Balerno to Craiglockhart 5and a half miles and will take over 2 hours.
2,Saughton to Leith and is 6 miles long and will take 3 hours.
I would suggest we do either of the routes say next saturday the 5th of September.
Anyone who is interested then please email me at mclindon@btinternet.com and I will provide further details.

Phil Wray (Regional Director for SU) is putting together a new mission team for this summer. It’s going to be a really exciting opportunity to begin a fresh mission initiative with a pair of local churches who are really keen to have us come&help them. Phil will be leading the team to Aberdour– which is a lovely wee seaside village in Fife (9-17 August). It would consist of delivering a kids holiday club in the morning, then a youth club at night, with a family quiz one night and a big BBQ at the weekend, plus helping at Sunday services at the beginning&end of the mission. In between times we’d be hanging out as a team–sunbathing&bible studies! We will be hosted by Church families.
I would love it if any of you felt that God might be asking you to be part of this team. You don’t have to be super experienced at doing mission. I’m just looking for folks who are excited about working with kids&young people & are looking to serve God.

SU Motiv8 Holidays
For young people from urban priority areas-Some have social, emotional&behavioural problems, others have never had the opportunity to go on a holiday. There are many ways to help-You can volunteer from 16+. We can support you to come as a leader for the first time-Experience is not the essential factor; a heart for God & for vulnerable youngsters is
1-Leader: Co-lead small groups of 5-8 campers. Get alongside&encourage them in activities like rock climbing; or chatting through spiritual stuff & sharing your testimony. Leaders need enthusiasm, patience&sense of humour!
2-Cook or 'general help': We need volunteer cooks, assistant cooks&general helpers (driving a mini bus, setting up an activity, a listening ear)
URGENT NEED:
LEADERS in Comrie Croft (S1-S3's) from 18-23Jul. If we don't find enough leaders by next week we may not be able to run this!
LEADERS(pref male) & an assistant cook are needed from 30Jun-5Jul at Comrie Croft

Easter is only a month away and we are once again recruiting marshals for the Princes St Easter play which takes place on Saturday March 22nd.
We currently have a quarter of the marshals we need. The team will be led by Chief steward Robin Turton who will be providing a 2hr training session held at Charlotte Chapel, Rose St, Edinburgh. If you are able to be part of the marshalling team we would ask you to attend on one of these two dates
Sat 8th March 10 30 – 12 30 OR Wed 12th March 7 30 – 9 30
The marshalling team provides a vital role in looking after the thousands of people who are expected to attend.
With many thanks
