Her lyrics often take the listener on intricate trips through the darkest crevices of the soul, pulled through the other side by, if not complete hope, than vital understanding. These journeys are accompanied by a predominantly electronic, yet varied musical pallete, pulled from her upbringing in the San Francisco Bay Area: East Bay soul, British Punk and New Wave, South Bay rock and North Bay folk all figure in the tasty, provocative stew that forms her music.
