I have been here in Cairns for a week now and the temp during the day has not fallen below 30*C not at all what i am use to on a day to day basis! and the humidity just makes it seem hotter!!! i have had to help my sister out with cleaning her old apartment as her and her fiance have just purchaced a new home and i am their first house guest! cleaning is not that much fun in this heat!! you just sweat and sweat!! so gross!!!

last tuesday we went to Kuranda and had a look thru the Butterfly sanctury, Birdworld and the Koala Gardens. ive taken plenty of photos, which will hopefully be up soon. the heat had gotten to me that night...i think i suffered heat stoke as i wasnt very well at all. by morning i was fine again so who knows.

wednesday morning i tried out their new pool...it was so refreshing!! got a bit burnt which was very silly of me!! went to Cairns Central Mall that afternoon.

friday i bussed into town and went to the Esplande..walked along that for about an hour before i decided to try and find my way to Cairns Central Mall...brought a couple of summer dresses. Friday night we went to the Night Markets. from there i brought a necklace with a starfish in it and a bracelet that they inscribed my name on the inside of it on a small stone...kinda hard to explain.

saturday we went to Franklands Island it was so beautiful there..went snorkling seen plenty of coral and lots of fish..dont know the names of what the fish were..tho i do do know some were parot fish..my sister was lucky enough to see a turtle while snokling and a stingray...i seen a jellyfish (stinger) it swam right under me..was glad i had a stinger suit on then!! after some lunch we did a walk around to the other side of the island where there were rock pools. plenty of starfish and hermit crabs. seen some sea cumbers too. it was so hot around that side as there was no breeze coming in!!! after that we decided to go on the glass bottom boat...that was pretty good...a turtle came over to say hello. when we were pulling back up to sore there was another turtle swimming along. it was time to leave the island at 2.30 and head back. on the cruz back down the Mulgrave river i was keeping an eye out for crocs and snakes..didnt see any...but did see a huge spiders web..would hate to see the spider that made it!! it was atleast 3 meters!!!!!!!! saturday night went to Brothers Legue Club for dinner was very yummy and fillng!! had a play on the pokies but no luck!

Going to another mall later today to hopefully do some shoping! and tomorrow going to Cairns Tropical Zoo and Port Douglass. not too sure on what im doing on wed morning yet but im sure i will find something to do.
