So.... I know this isn't newsworthy.. But I have no one else to tell this to. I'm sitting on my bed, and my cat is sitting next to me SNORING so loudly.. And I'm trying not to laugh, because I'll wake her up. It's so awesome though. You just don't expect little cats to snore like that. And periodically, she'll have weird dreams where she's running through a field or something (I have no idea what cats actually dream about, this is just a theory)... So then she's snoring AND twitching and moving her legs.. It's hilarious. I tried to call Abigail so she could hear it, but she's off at college is probably studying or doing something cooler than watching a cat snore.
Anyway, that reminds me of something that really IS newsworthy.. Something I've been dreaming about and hoping for and wishing for years.. I just found out that I get to play on Saturday Night Live!! January 10th! It's my mom's birthday, and I don't think either of us would've believed you if you would've told us a few years ago that we'd get to spend her birthday in New York City--- at Saturday Night Live! Wow. It's pretty unreal.
Things are coming along quite nicely with the tour planning. I'm SO SO SO excited for it to all come together. Yesterday, my stage designer brought over a model he made of the stage that looked like a puppet show. So, besides the fact that it's my dream stage scaled down to a small and adorable size.... it was also fun to play with. Which even further confirms that it's my dream stage. I've worked up most of the musical arrangements and transitions between songs. I can't wait for you to see this show. I can't wait for this summer tour.

Christmas sweaters and New Years in the big city.
Hey!
I'm sitting in my kitchen, wondering what to do today. And that brings up an interesting point.. I can't remember the last time I thought "What am I going to do today?". Nothing planned! So this is a nice change, and it's been an awesome Christmas break for me. We'll start with the wisdom teeth. Mission accomplished. They're out. That happened a few days after my birthday ("Happy Birthday, we're going to yank your teeth out now") and then I was in bed for a good three days. My band was amazing, they came over and sat with me and we watched CSI. Then, I caught up on Christmas shopping all during the week before Christmas.
Abigail's back from college, so we've hung out a lot. We decided we needed to get more in the holiday spirit so we bought festive Christmas sweaters. Like the kind that have reindeer and Santa all over them. Hers lit up. I was jealous.
In my spare time, I've been meeting with my production manager, set designer, and tour planners... I can't even tell you how excited I am about the headlining tour coming up. This summer is going to be FUN.
Christmas Eve was awesome, we went to church and then opened presents back at the house. Austin, my brother, is 16. But he acts four at Christmas. He runs around the house yelling "PRESENTS!". It's pretty great. This Christmas was amazing, and it was so insane thinking about all that's happened this year. And I can't believe I got to have the number one album on CHRISTMAS! That was the best gift you could've gotten me. Ever. I'll never stop thanking you.
I'll be in New York for New Years Eve.. I'll be performing in Times Square. Kellie Pickler and my whole band and family are going to be there, so I can't wait to spend New Years with them. I've never been in NYC for New Years before, and I hear it's absolutely life changing and the best thing ever. So I can't wait to tell you all about it. Maybe I'll see you there!

Back at number one? Seriously??
Hey!
So I'm laying in bed, half asleep. I got my wisdom teeth taken out the day before yesterday, and I'm feeeeling it. Yeah. It's forcing me to sit still for a few days, which I probably needed. Caitlin, Grant, and Paul (my band mates) are on their way over to keep me company. Yayyy.
I had my birthday party/end of the year party/Christmas party on the 13th.. My entire band and crew came out to the house and honestly, it was the best birthday I've ever had. Everyone was all dressed up and the house was decorated for Christmas and everyone was so happy. We played all these games, one where each person gets to pick a present from under the tree and you can choose to steal presents from other people. Then there was the ping pong competition, which was pretty hardcore. We had a fire pit outside and we made s'mores. It was a blast. Then almost everyone stayed really really late and jammed. We all had guitars and were singing together.. So much fun.
Then I got my wisdom teeth taken out, went into a never-ending sleep, and when I woke up--- I was told about Fearless going BACK to number one on the all-genre albums chart! I can't BELIEVE it! I never thought that would happen!! I can't thank you enough for that. It's just so amazing. You gave me something really wonderful to wake up to.
