I have played many online sports games and have enjoyed playing them, but always found them to lack the depth and detail of offline games like 'Football Manager'. That was until I found http://www.footy-manager.com . This is by far the best online football game that I have played. As with most online footie games, you play against other people in your country's league and must manage your team, training, stadium, and transfers.

Where this game rises substantially above the rest is the detail that is included. Although it does take a while to get to grips with everything it has to offer, it is definitely worth it. Another plus side is that games are played every two or three days unlike the more usual format of once per week.

I would certainly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys football managing games as it is great fun. The only downsize is it can be a little addictive and slowly start to take over your free time if you let it.

The main plus of course is that it is totally free.
