- À propos de moi

CRAZIEST THING I'VE EVER DONE
The silliest or craziest thing that I've ever done? The silliest, craziest adventure I've ever experienced was when I took our family on a wild ride over 7 European mountain passes, through 3 countries in ONE day! Talk about nutty American tourists! One of the passes was so primitive, there weren't any guard rails. Believe me, it was terrifying at some points, but once he started up the pass, there was no turning around.
- Music
- Swiss national music, classical, good old-fashioned hymns. George Beverly Shea.
- Films
- Ben Hur, Sound of Music; World War II movies. I'm not so much into movies, even though I waited on many famous movie stars, like John Wayne, Clark Gable, James Stewart, Pearl Bailey, Romy Schneider and my favorite, Sophia Loren - a real down-to-earth Italian. But all this was B.C. - before Christ came into my life.
- Hobbies
- I love to read without being disturbed. My wife calls me a bookaholic.
- Scared Of
- Snakes
- Happiest When
- I'm happiest when in the mountains. It's like this. I'm a yodeling Swiss. You may take a Swiss out of Switzerland, but you can't take Switzerland out of a real Swiss. I love to be way up in the Swiss Alps, so high that you literally feel the cool clouds brush by your face. That's when I feel so close to God and I do draw nigh to Him and He draws nigh to me. It's a very special feeling.

Church History
My favorite reading subject is church history, but that wasn't always the case. My Bible school teacher, Wallace Joice, is the person who inspired me. He used to ask me how to pronounce certain towns and places recorded in church history. That's when history became relevant and very much alive, since part of the reformation took place in my homeland of Switzerland.
I feel you can't understand the Bible without understanding church history. I mostly read theological books by authors like Hans Kueng, Smith Wigglesworth, John G. Lake, Rees Howell, Andrew Murray, Charles Finney, Alexander Solzhenitzyn. Well, the bottom line is, I could really get lost in books.0 commentaires 1320 jours

I feel the happiest when I can minister to someone who's hurting. That's my real mission in life - to reach out to lost humanity. My name actually means "Able to counsel." That is when I'm in my milleau - the happiest. But it hurts when I can't help the ones I love the most, and that's w...
