I've started this group as part of a college project to find out how people these days feel about Bettie Page.
It's okay if you don't know who she is, coz finding out what people's first reactions would be great too
Anyway! I'd really love if you could have a browse round the page and tell me what you think of her and stuff!
Thanks so much!!
Thanks to www.bettiepage.com for the images

Why are you here??
As part of my college course I am doing a project on Bettie Page's pictures and her photographers.
The project requires that I survey random people and find out their views on my chosen subject... so I decided 'Where better than Bebo?!' Here I'll find people that already know about her, and people who have never heard of her, thereby finding (hopefully) a LOT of information!!
All I ask is that you browse through the pictures that I've posted and maybe answer some polls, leave a comment about her... I'd just really like to know your opinions (Spam will be deleted).
Thanks so much for helping me out

Who Is Bettie Page?
Bettie Page was a pin-up model in the 50's. One of Playboy's early centerfolds, she became well-known for burlesque and was the first bondage model to become famous.
There was much controversy over her pictures because (as you can see from the Photo Album titled 'Raunchy') they were incredibly risqué for the time. Some feel that her daring empowered women, while others simply feel that she was a tacky pin up.
Her image however made her an icon that is still looked up to today (for example Dita Von Teese) and has been drawn on for inspiration by artists and celebrities, as well as the ordinary person.

Also the main video in the video box shows a recent interview with her where she talks about her life.0 Kommentare 774 Tage

hey hun! now see i joined up just for you, ha!so hows the page goin?successful?hows 'seamus' mcshea??
Hey there,
Yeah she was fab in her time.. Think nowadays she has a place but don't think she'd be no.1 anymore.. She was successful at what she did because she had her own flare & outlook on life & attitude.. It's all bout the attitude!
Cool page!!
With her attitude she'd still be a big sucess story today.. Her figure was of the time fantastic & let's face it.. Still is..
She may have opened the door for women to be proud & express themselves in a different way than what would have been acceptable of those days.. Even if it did take many others to help her!!
Thanks for the input Snaps!!! Spread the word, I need input for Whistler!!
