The Story so Far..........
It was in 1999 that a group of St.Mirren supporters, from the original Sizzlingsaints web forum, decided that, after getting gubbed in a five-a-side match against Morton, would set up their own 11's St.Mirren Supporters Football Club.
Originally called Sizzling Saints and managed by the legendary Colin 'Harpo' Harvey, the saints started out life playing friendlies on a Saturday morning. It was then decided that in season 2000-2001 the buddies would join the Internet Football Association (I.F.A LEAGUE). This was a British League, consisting of a Scottish league and an English league. Both came together to play in the British Cup, played throughout the season, and an end of season event, Worldnet, played in Leeds. A change in team name followed and St.Mirrenoff were born.
The Saints ended up semi finalists in the British Cup back in 2001-2002 and were semi finalists twice in the Scottish Cup.
It wasn't until season 2005-2006 that St.Mirrenoff F.C.joined the Scottish Amatuer ranks, entering the Scottish Supporters Football League playing their games on a Sunday afternoon. The first season saw the buds finish second bottom of the league.
The following season saw the saints grow in stature with a big money Sponsorship with PMC Security Services and also Syme Transport. With the team kitted up for the new 2006-2007 season the Saints faired better finishing a repectful 7th in the league.
