Seeing Red Records was founded in Cork, Ireland 2007 by Artists for Artists. It is the first company of its kind in Ireland & is one of the legacies of our 2005 European Capital Of Culture Year. Due to officially launch on 11th August 2007 with a live event in the Crane Lane Theatre, the day will also include the launch of a new e-commerce website promoting & selling music & videos produced in Cork to the World..

Rumours of our Demise....
For anyone who saw the earlier blog about our rumoured demise I'm posting this blog to let you know that it was not true, Seeing Red Records is not dead, far from it in fact!!
Derek Nagle is currently busy editing a mini documentary we made about last years capers!! I plan to post it on YouTube 'n around the place in a few weeks..
As for the rest of the year well we're currently in pre-production for a single & video whose planned release date is 27th Sep but more on that later..
A new www.seeingredrecords.com will be published in the next couple of days as well as updates to our MySpace & Bebo pages so check back later.. if you're interested?
I posted a blog on our Myspace/seeingredrecords a few days ago so there's a bit more on everything there..

But, as many of you already know, it’s not just a store, that’s only a part of it, it’s way more than that, this website’s got life breathing through it, it gives visitors a unique glimpse at a bigger picture that is Cork with it’s vibrant & diverse music scene. Look deeper, see what you find..
It’s been 10 months in the making & has encountered many challenges during the year but has overcome adversity & in the process has touched the lives of & has been given life by over 100 people, people living & working in Cork. The people & places on this website represent but a fraction of the abundance of talent & venues this county has to offer. Over time we plan to expand this glimpse to bring you new & exciting artists & places. We’re starting with the basics & in the coming weeks we plan to introduce the album & video download feature. In the meantime there are 10 great singles to choose from, there’s something in there for everyone. This is but the first issue, from where we start…
To continue, what we need most is your support, a band is nothing without its fans & the same applies here. Please buy your favourite tracks, they’re only 99c each. For the price of one pint you’ll be supporting 4 bands & Seeing Red Records. 1 Pint = great music + good karma + happy people .. You can’t go wrong.. Back in Black
As some of you are aware we had a few major setbacks after we first launched back in August. Following a most magical of gigs in Crane Lane Theatre the website just seemed to go belly up on us & has been down ever since. The main issues we encountered from the beginning were with bandwidth & video streaming. After much research we couldn’t find a suitable affordable solution for streaming the videos ourselves so we’ve opted to embed Youtube versions for the time being. The quality isn’t as good but it solves the bandwidth issue & everyone gets to see the videos. In time as services improve & become more affordable we plan to stream better quality videos ourselves.
