She enters DOA3 in order to test her skills against other fighters. After all the training, she is finally ready to enter the Dead or Alive tournament.

Hitomi was invited to Zack Island for the Dead or Alive 4 tournament. However, that was only a ruse concocted by Zack to lure the girls of DOA to a two week tropical vacation.


Dead or Alive 4
A sudden illness has befallen Hitomi's father, the owner of a successful Karate dojo and prominent member of the German martial arts community. Although he has recovered, the family's training hall is in financial trouble. Hitomi's days are very busy as a result, but one of her greatest strengths is not letting the gravity of the situation faze her.

During the fourth Dead or Alive tournament, she looks for Ein as she remembers him from when they trained together in Germany. Hitomi hopes Ein can come up with an idea to save her father's dojo.


Dead or Alive Xtreme 2
Hitomi returns to the island to participate in the Dead or Alive 5 tournament after receiving a false invitation from Zack. Hitomi is the only one to fall for Zack's ruse a second time, as the rest of the girls had their own motivations for returning to the island and did not have to be tricked.


Personality
Hitomi is a martial artist through and through. Her victories have come as a result of a grueling training regimen as well as a complete commitment to her studies and her art. Not only has Hitomi practiced her techniques, she has studied them, coming to understand the deeper principles behind karate as well as the art itself.

Hitomi is very much an honorable competitor and follows the traditions of her art to the letter. She always fights fairly in a match, for to do otherwise would bring shame to her name, her martial art, and her father's dojo. Hitomi is also fair in her dealings with others, treating everybody equally and with the respect that they deserve. She will not underestimate a foe by acting in a brash or overconfident manner. At all times, she will fight to the best of her ability, as she wishes to test her strength and training to the fullest.

Hitomi can be considered the successor to Ein, in terms of fighting technique and statistics, except that Hitomi is slightly faster, and Ein's strikes are somewhat more powerful. Hitomi's fighting style relies on quick, medium-damage strikes, and her recovery time frame is excellent. Her tell-tale "wind-up" shared with Ein, however, is a popular counter-attack weakness for her, and the majority of her attacks lack good mix-up's, which means that most high-to-mid holds are effective against her. Her "interruption attacks" however (such as the Tsubauchi) are competent in keeping the opponent off guard, as well as making Hitomi preferable for aggressive players.

Here's some info about Ino Yamanaka!

Ino Yamanaka is a member of Asuma Sarutobi's Team 10, consisting of herself, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi. Initially, Ino seems to dislike her teammates due to Choji's size and Shikamaru's unpopularity and lack of motivation, though in actuality she holds a strong bond with the both of them. This bond exists in part because of their fathers being teammates in their youth, thus making Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji the second generation of the Ino-Shika-Cho Trio. Ino and her teammates all wear the same type of earring: a small silver hoop.

At her graduation, Ino graduated as one of the best kunoichi in her class. As the daughter of a flower shop owner, Ino is particularly skilled in the way of the flower (Ikebana). Being a Yamanaka, Ino specializes in mind-altering jutsu, allowing her to control others with relative ease. Ino's favorite food is small tomatoes and pudding. Her hobby is star gazing and her favorite phrase is "the many words/meanings of flowers" (花言葉の数々, Hanakotoba no kazukazu?), that is, the so-called language of flowers.

Ino and Sakura
Ino also happens to be the best friend, yet bitter rival of Sakura Haruno. During their time in the Academy, Ino came to befriend Sakura, who was an unpopular girl whose large forehead constantly earned her a teasing from other girls. By giving Sakura a ribbon, Ino was able to help Sakura overcome her phobia about her forehead, and in time helped Sakura develop her own identity and self-worth. As Sakura's confidence in herself grew, she developed a crush on Sasuke Uchiha, who Ino also had a crush on. When Sakura found out about this, she ended their friendship so that the two could properly compete for Sasuke's affection, beginning a bitter rivalry between the two. Since their graduation from the academy, the relationship between Ino and Sakura has rekindled, strengthend by their battle in the preliminary round of the Chunin Exam.


Part I
Chunin Exam arc
During the second phase of the Chunin Exams, Ino and her teammates look for a team weak enough for them to ambush. As they search, they are found by Neji Hyuga and in an attempt to save her team Ino poorly attempts to flirt with him. Neji, clearly unaffected brushes off her attempt and insults her and her team by referring to them as cockroaches. As they continue to search they find Sakura fighting a losing battle with a team of Sound Genin. When Sakura cuts her hair to escape from Kin Tsuchi's grasp, Ino is spurred into action, realizing that Sakura must be in trouble if she's willing to cut her hair. After forcing Shikamaru and Choji to join her in battle, Ino uses her Mind Body Switch Technique to take control of Kin's body so that she can force a surrender. When Kin's teammates attack Ino in Kin's body without hesitation, it becomes clear that ending the battle won't be that simple. After Sasuke Uchiha awakens, Ino and her team flee the battle so that Sasuke can take care of the Sound Genin.

In the preliminary matches of the exam, Ino is pitted against Sakura. After Sakura and Ino exchange insults, Ino follows Sakura's earlier example and cuts her hair, leading many onlookers to believe that she's lost her mind. In actuality, Ino cut her hair to help her in battle; by sending chakra into her cut hair, Ino is able to tie Sakura in place, allowing her slow moving Mind Body Switch Technique to have no difficulties in finding its target. After taking control of Sakura's body, Ino tries to force Sakura to forfeit, though Sakura's inner personality stops Ino before she can do so. With both girls exhausted from the amount of effort they've been putting into their fight, Ino and Sakura charge at each other to deal final blows. Striking each other simultaneously, both are knocked out, leading to a draw. As the two recover, Ino and Sakura begin to rekindle their friendship.


Anime filler arcs
During the course of the filler arcs, Ino is shown to have learned
