Dragonslayers is the official Gaming and Anime of Queens University Belfast (QUB). We provide a forum to satisfy the needs of gamers from the University, Belfast and Northern Ireland. Although we are predominantly a student based society, our doors are open to everyone over seventeen. We offer our members a venue to enjoy their chosen games, a full calendar of exciting gaming events, and a forum to meet other gamers. Whether you are an experienced veteran, a casual beginner or just interested in seeing what all the fuss is about – we have something to suit your needs.

    • Cornucopia New Year Bash - THIS SATURDAY!

      The Dragonslayers' New Year Party is THIS SATURDAY. Celebrate the start of 2009 with a little bit of drinking and dancing along with your fellow Dragonslayers!

      * What? CORNUCOPIA - 80s, Goth, Industrial & Stuff
      * When? Saturday 3rd January - Doors Open 9pm til late
      * Where? Speakeasy Bar, QUB Students' Union
      * How Much? £5 for an great's night craic
      * Selected Drinks £1.80 // 18+ Only

    • Dragonslayers brings you CORNUCOPIA

      As part of what is set to be a great year of Dragonslayers' events in the Students' Union, we are very pleased to announce that we are bringing Belfast's best alternative, goth and industrial night to Queen's.

      What is it? Drinking and dancing, all to the sounds goth, industrial and 'stuff'. REQUESTS WELCOME!
      Who is it? Disc_Mistress, our regular DJ for Q-Con.
      Where is it? Bunatee Bar, QUB Students' Union.
      When is it? Saturday 27 September, doors open at 9pm.
      How much? £5

      It is in the Bunatee this month, and once term starts it will be in the Speakeasy on the third Saturday of every month.

    • Slayers24 Allnighter: 26-27 July 2008

      The Dragonslayers epic gaming experience (also known as us sitting in the Union all night drinking Red Bull) is back!

      When? - 12 Noon Saturday 26 - 12 Noon Sunday 27 July 2008
      Where? - QUB Students' Union, Second Floor, Snack Bar
      Who? - Anyone can come, but you must be 18+
      How much? - General Admission £8, PC Admission £15, tournament entry is free.
      Anything else? - We will have a tuck shop selling caffeine supplies! There may be prizes, and they will probably be edible.


      There will be the usual mix of Console Games, a Mini PC-LAN and whatever else everyone wants to play.

      World Cyber Games Northern Irish Qualifer
      P.O.N.G. and Dragonslayers will be hosting the first ever Northern Irish World Cyber Games Qualifiers at the July Slayers24. The WCG games are:

      FIFA 2008 (PC)
      Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne (PC)
      Halo 3 4vs4 (XBox 360)
      Project Gotham Racing 3 (XBox 360)


      The winners will be invited to attend the WCG Irish National Qualifiers in Dublin, 6-7 September 2008!

      PC tournaments will be played on P.O.N.G. machines.
