  Some may say that this blog entry is fast tracking it to chemical castration by the missus, but to be honest, I think it's a great way to vent out some of the random splatterings of my wonderful fiancee!

• I know Jack Schitt!

  For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt? We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, You dont know Jack Schitt! Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way.
  
  Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack.
  
  In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt.
  
  Against her parents objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock.
  
  Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse.
  
  Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.
  
  Now when someone says, You dont know Jack Schitt, you can correct them. .

• Breakfast show Shane is top hit with listeners

  A YOUNG Warrenpoint radio presenter has been making (air)waves after scooping a country-wide popularity poll, writes Brian Hyland.
  
  Shane Pearce, breakfast show presenter and production assistant at Five FM, beat popular morning stations including BBC Radio Ulster, Downtown Radio and Cool FM to top the Merry Media Northern Ireland poll for best breakfast show presenter.
  
  Speaking to the Democrat, Shane said he was thrilled at the accolade.
  
  "I'm absolutely delighted," he said. "There was some stiff competition from radio in Northern Ireland and some very, very talented individuals and it humbled me to receive this award. It's nice to hear that people are tuning in to the show and enjoying it, so I'm very pleased."
  
  Shane, 21, has been presenting the breakfast show on Five FM for just four months.
  
  The Warrenpoint host has been involved with local radio for over five years and he revealed the show's recipe for success.
  
  "The breakfast show is a mix of 80s, 90s and today's hit music," he explained. "We do high school hits between 9am and 10am where the listeners get to choose the tracks. We also have features every morning at 10.30am with motoring or fashion and stuff like that.
  
  "So it's an information and music driven show and I'm really enjoying it. Listenership has picked up this last while, so it's all good."
  
  Shane's morning show picked up 16 per cent of the vote with City Beat and U105 coming in a distant joint second with 10 per cent each.
  
  The poll was conducted by Merry Media, a media news company with a visitor count of over 100,000 visitors each month and over 3.6 million hits.
  
  "Merry Media has been moving across the UK to find the Best Breakfast and Drivetime Shows on the radio and I would like to congratulate Shane on topping the Northern Ireland poll," said Derek Lennon, editor of Merry Media.
  
  "The aim of the poll is to promote local radio and to show it is still an important factor within the media industry."
  
  You can check out Shane's show from Monday to Friday from 7am to 11am.
