Four boys with a bucket load of Rock and a dash of Roll.

With their melodic blend of modern punk and many of rock's genres and subgenres and post- this and that, The Demise strive to make an impact on the Universe by playing powerful and energetic live shows with a pinch of charm and vigour.

2009 has been the bands most successful year to date with the band playing with American punk heavyweights Rise Against and Taking Back Sunday in both Dublin and Belfast after being requested by each band during their respective tours. With the release of their debut album scheduled for the end of 2009 , things are only looking better for the four boys and their rock and roll tunes

    Hey people,

New song 'Resistance Is Futile' up on our breaking tunes page. It's not yet fully mixed or mastered in the least bit but it's a good idea of what to expect from our forthcoming album.

  • Review From State.ie | TAKING BACK SUNDAY |

The following is a small article written about our performance with Taking Back Sunday in The Academy.

Limerick based The Demise take to the stage. Admitting that they don’t stick to a set-list and appearing to follow drummer Kieran Hayes’ lead, the foursome bash out some tight tunes to a warm reception. They share a sound somewhat similar to early 00’s American Exports (Sum 41, The Offspring, Yellowcard), albeit with lyrics that are as epic and over-the-top as early Metallica, which is not necessarily a bad thing. They too are vocally affected by heavy American accents which is not an endearing quality, at least not for an Irish band, but that aside they do have the calibre of songs and talent to suitably entertain the attentive audience.

  • Tiny Review from Punknews.org | RISE AGAINST |

    http://www.punknews.org/review/8078

By that time, though I’d arrived quite early and been somewhere in the middle of the outside queue, the first opening band had exhausted much of their stage time. Judging from the last three songs, the Demise play a modern take on melodic hardcore and punk rock music, which, in essentials, wasn’t unlike the style of the headliner of the night. The sound man could have done a better job but the crowd seemed satisfied nevertheless.

Could be worse. Good review though, seems to catch the essence of the evening. Cheers Big Ears
