"The Creaks have made a big impression with several support sets at Electric Avenue already this year and are back to try and steal the Christmas Party show with their youthful energy and Pixies/Nirvana iomments like "Waterford's most exiting new act 2007" and "A raw, sexual and dynamic rock band, Ger Reid's voice is so powerful it challenges the best of sound engineering staff"

After such a stunning performance by Dinosaur Petshop, I was wondering how The Creaks (who I have heard a lot about, but had not seen before) would do against such a wonderful feast of noise. As I waited for them to come on I realised that they have a really big following as more and more people appeared down the front to watch these local lads. I was not to be disappointed by them either as their musical ability became apparent from the moment they took to the stage.

With the bass player in obvious pain with a broken arm the lads still played a storming gig the likes of which any professional band of their ilk would be proud of. With an energetic and charismatic front man, fantastic harmonies supplied by the drummer and lead guitarist this band has a lot to offer Waterford’s original music fans. Stand out songs by them included “She’s out to get me”, “Song 9” and the potential pop classic “Wagon Wheel” which they revealed on the night they plan to record over the coming weeks. This is sure to become one of the bands signature tunes. It’s great to see another Waterford band with real possibility of succeeding.
