We'll be auctioning stuff which some of our friends in bands have given us - we'll be releasing the full list soon so watch this space, what we can tell you is that The Subways and the Ting Tings have donated, and there's instruments and signed merchandise up for grabs. We hope to see you there!

It’s been a truly amazing year for the Bollocks to Poverty team at Reading. We made air guitar history, dodged the rain, built some impressive jenga towers, got stamped on at RATM, lost our tents at 3am, met thousands of beautiful people, got hugs off some of them, and shouted Bollocks to Poverty until we lost our voices. And all in four wonderful days.

Breaking the air guitar record was a really great moment, so thanks to those of you who came and played so passionately with us. Our air guitar heroes Dave ‘Wildman’ Pickles and Ricky ‘Georgeous’ Jones were stunning and Guinness official Erica was an absolute star, taking the mayhem in her stride.

We have a whole lot of love for our Bollocks to Poverty volunteers, who worked non-stop to cover everyone in tattoos, stickers and get some support going on for ActionAid. If you didn’t meet any of the gorgeous guys and girls in pink you really missed out.

But the real heroes were the thousands of you who came into the tent, grabbed your giant guitars and megaphones and boots and posed for the cameras, showing your support for ActionAid and pledging to do something you love with ActionAid in future. THANK YOU!

The post-Reading blues hit on Monday as we dragged tents back through the campsite and waited for our coach to turn up. It’s a special kind of feeling I only get once a year, a mixture of not wanting to go back to reality or say goodbye to our inspirational volunteers, sleep deprivation, being unable to form coherent sentences, and real excitement at the prospect of a shower and not smelling of wood smoke any more. But as always kind of sad that I have to wait a year to feel this way again.
