- Musically we are influence by the crisp clean guitar sound of bands like the Arctic Monkeys, the rapture, with a soft spot for acoustic music such as john butler, rhymes are very important to us and in this respect we take leafs from the books of genres such as ska, hip hop, electro, techno. The silences are important of course as is the use of tension to create music. Lyrically influenced by people like Shane MacGowan, Abdominal, anything really with a bit of wit and humour aswell as having the ability to be serious from time to time........and bobs ur uncle. Songs so far are influenced by ravers, dance music, drug cultures, mental health problems, style and substance, weekends, working hard for a pittance, gratuitous violence, altered states of mind, falling over, romantic situations of varying degrees of happiness and sadness, gangland references, boxing references bizarre metaphors.

- Bojangled were formed fully in November 2008, they played their first gig later that month. The band mix dancie beats and grooves with bouncy basslines and spiky riffs. This forms a tasty template for the clever lyrics to seek out a melody. In January 2009 the band recorded a few tracks for a demo which they make available for free at each gig. They are fast developing a unique sound rooted in witty wordplay and a vibrant colourful blend of hip-hop,dance,r & b, ska all mashed up under the guise of an indy guitar band. Watch this spot as they embark on a whirlwind journey of writing, recording gigging and swigging. Check out our tunes and try and make it to the next gig!
