Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band <boghall-and-bathgate>


Boghall have three grades of band (novice/juvenile/grade1) The novice band have been put through their paces and are doing well considering. Pipe major Alvis Kerr has taught the young band and will carry on bringing the youngsters through some more competitions with more prizes to be won. Having experience with a juvenile band, this man knows what he is doing and has improved the youngsters with a lot of work and will continue to do so! Also pipe major Ian Bowden has been pressuring on with the juvenile band, teaching a full new competition set and MSR. For quite a small juvenile sized band they work well and can bring out a good sound. Hopefully the majority of these pipers will carry on into the grade 1. Being a pipe major of the grade 1 band is a hard and challenging job as Ross Walker would surely agree. Being Pipe major of this band has taken a few years from him and a lot of dedictaion throughout his life i'm sure. Tracks of a few of the concerts will be uploaded soon.
