- Blur formed in 1989. Graham Coxon (guitar) always wanted to be in a band with Alex James (bass), and was already in a band with Damon (vox, keys, guiars). They came together with Dave Rowntree (drums), and became the one of the biggest bands of the 90's.
They're most famous for the release of "Parklife," "Song 2" and their britpop war against oasis. They have released 9 albums:

Midlife: A Beginner's Guide To Blur
"Parklife" was their most famous album, selling the most copies out of the collection. The most recent, "Think Tank," was a different sound. In the year 2000 after the release of "13" Graham Coxon, guitar hero, left the band. This is how the change of sound happened for "Think Tank". However blur still went on to write great songs such as "Ambulance" and "Crazy Beat"
In 2008 Blur announced they would be reuniting to play some 2009 summer shows.

All four band members will reunite in 2009, says singer - BLUR REFORM
November 25th 2008, Damon Albarn appeared on BBC radio theatre. NME were listening up for any 'Blur' secrets let out. Damon had recently hinted to fans that blur may make a return soon. Now he states the band WILL return in 2009 as the four members, including guitarist Graham Coxon. Alex James has given up TV and farming time, Dave is back in England after finishing helping with politics in america, Selling his planes and getting back on track to play with the greatest band of the previous decade.
Blur were supposed to reform for Reading and Leeds, this year. Coxon and Albarn both pulled out at the last minute, weeks before the bands names were mentioned. Now they are back to hopefully do a tour.
Damon Albarn has confirmed that Blur will be reuniting next year.
NME states.
The singer revealed his old band, including guitarist Graham Coxon, will be working together. Albarn made the comments just before a special one-off performance of his opera 'Monkey: Journey To The West' at the BBC Radio Theatre in London this afternoon (November 25).
"Blur are certainly going to rehearse and see if we're into it," he said.
The band's last album was 2003's 'Think Tank', though guitarist Coxon only appeared on one track, having left the group a year earlier.
