Why (and How) the Band

The band, or better the idea(l) was formed accidentally , if we can accept the power of free will and the inexistence of fate, by five really young men (14 yrs average) being at the time fascinated by the way their favorite heavy and extreme metal bands were (and still are) expressing themselves through their music, having literally no clue of music knowledge in a country that’d rather cut a head off that spend money to educate it …Though they where equipped with loads of confidence, appetite, nerve, impertinence maybe… They let the "wave" drift them away as they let the rest of their lives whirling around the thing that made them compromise with it. Without having the economic background to afford any mistakes in everything that has to do with their living. It’s not a hobby as it is for some that have the convenience of that luxury; it’s not something being out of caprice… It’s more than a way of life!










Why the Name

Actually it came out accidentally (???) again… It seemed to be well-turned and it represents the dark and cold band’s music… All those of course came to fit in an incredible logo drawn by the hand of the infamous Christophe Spajdel (As well as Emperor, Old Man’s Child and many more)










Why the "Infernal Black Metal" tag

Infernal, in Greek Ypochthonios from the prefix (h) ypo (?p?=under) and the noun Chthon (???? = ground) is a word amalgam that mixes the interpretations of both languages containing the meaning of a full of fury as hell, underground (in the romantic term) music… Well, tags are for the record labels and magazines to help them describe one group’s sounding and to define with what other bands playing is close so the listeners can search for music around their tastes. Why a Female Singer

We are not trying to be sell-outs or next Nightwish neither we are trying to steal a little of, lets say for e.g. Lacuna Coil’s glamour or even become, for avoiding mentioning numerous others the closer to our style, next Arch Enemy. We are not embracing the latest fem-fronted metal trend neither we adjusted what we were originally tended to do in Yvonne’s weights and measures, but the opposite. She was auditioned fairly between the rest claimers of the position and she was judged to have all the "guaranties" … She also surely can stand better between many of her male opposites.










Why the lineup changes in general

A Band is not a corporation, it’s more like a family, or to speak in a deeper comparison a Band is a living organism. You’ll exhaust all the possible ways available to save a critical, body part (speaking of transplantable always body parts) before you enter in surgery to replace it…The body will be never again the same like before but if you match the histocompability soon, let’s say a dead eye will be replaced by a new one ready to transmit you all the images of a new promising world, a totally new perspective. Some members stop sharing the same interests with the rest of the band, some are just corroded of he rubbing, the tensions or the growing expectations everyone inside has on each other and quite democratically after sessions of dialogues we separate our ways .










Why the long periods between releasing anything

Everything from the music, lyric writing, arranging, recording, producing, mixing and everything else you can imagine to the artwork and the final strokes of the brush of each release passes through our own hands and the latest thing that used to pass through our "pockets" which was the recording, passed in our hands long ago…Everything comes and goes from and to us with a little precious help of some good
