To the Black Soul Strangers Band! Im part of a group organising an event called “Homegrown” showcasing a night of the best up and coming Irish musical talent including bands and DJ’s in Dublin City. Im a friend of James from the kinetics and he recommended you guys as a great band to ask to do the gig! The event is in aid of “Make A Wish Foundation” a charity who aims to grant the wishes of terminally ill children with all ticket sales and donations going to the charity. We have two bands already booked “The Red Labels” and “The Offshore” who are willing to play for free for the charity event and we are looking for a third who are willing to do the same. The event will take place around the last week of November to the first week of December 2008 on a Thursday night, the venue and date will be guaranteed by next week but the venue will be in Dublin City and is looking likely to be the Crawdaddy. The event is being targeted to students and people aged 18-35 who are interested in up and coming Irish bands and DJ’s on the music scene and will provide a prime opportunity to reach a new audience of 300-350 people. There will be complimentary drinks and food for all acts involved, and if you are willing and can play at the event I will fill you in on a exact date and queries regarding the backline, amps and equipment and times of the acts going on.
