- Bassboosa began when Jasmine Badir and Tim Clarke met in the summer of 2001 whilst working in a London record store and began writing and recording songs together - essentially atmospheric pop with strong melodies, stirring lyrics and a creative mix of electronic and live instrumentation.
With the help of guitar maestro Stevie Wyatt they have now made the step from studio to stage, with an entrancing live set brimming with energy and emotion. The live line up is completed by Kat Bax on bass, and drummer Terry Donovan.
Their cover of the Chris Isaak classic "Wicked Game" (featuring guitarist Tam Nightingale) has become a huge hit on KNRK, Portland, OR. "It is the most requested song we've ever had in the 11 years we have been on the air" says KNRK programme director, Mark Hamilton.
Their debut release will be a three track EP. This will be available for download on iTunes and CD import soon and will include "Cry", "Succumb" and the smash cover "Wicked Game".

Succumb Video uploaded!
Hi all,
You can now see our new video for our single "Succumb" on our Bebo page. It was a lot of fun, but hard work filming it, and you'll soon be able to see a "behind-the-scenes" video of the making of it coming very soon too.
More news from the USA very soon!
Thanks

San Fransisco - 16/04/08 - US Promotional Tour
Yesterday we drove up from scorching LA to golden San Francisco, to play the first show of our tour. Was at a cool den of a venue called 'The Red Devil Lounge' with two other bands, (Justin Hopkins and the Guilt and The Skybombers), who are travelling with us on this 'Passport Approved' tour.
The show went well and was a good warm up for our headlining slot at 'The Crystal Ballroom', in Oregan tomorrow night.. We genuinely can't wait to be back in what we think of as our home away from home, Portland.
Hope to see you along the way, on the west coast somewhere soon. Here are some pics from the San Francisco show.
Much love,
Jasmine
