| Hello Everyone!
I hope this page will be usefull to all the members. i thought it would be a good compromise until the main website is up and running. I'll try keep it up to date with pictures, videos, news etc. So if anyone has any photos or videos send them to me. I was also thinking people could advertise items they might like to sell to other members here also. As for using this "bebo thing"...any one can view the profile (page). To leave a comment you need to sign up free for your own profile. I would encourage members to sign up, it would be an easy way of communicating to the whole club! How you enjoy it...Safe flying!!!!

Galway Model Flying Club says: "Dont forget to let everyone know when your flyin next in the comments section" (23 weeks ago) me too! | | The Club | | Galway Model Flying Club in located close to Claregalway and consists of about 30 members. We meet Saturdays and Sundays from 10am on at the flying field and some Wednesday evenings. For more info check out our site; www.galwaymodelflying.org | | | F3A Competition | | The 9th and 10th of August saw the N.A.T.S being held for the first time by the Galway Model Flying Club. The weather forecast on Friday evening left a lot to be desired about, however nearly 20 flyers were out early on Saturday morning to get registered. The wind was strong and gusty, the cloud was low and the showers frequent but the atmosphere was positive and after a few hours of patient waiting a few gaps appeared. The Irish weather made the pilots endure many interruptions but the by evening time the majority of the first round was completed. The second day of the event seemed a little more promising. Although the weather was far from ideal the flying progressed steadily. There showers were often and heavy buy the remainder of round 1 was flown followed by round 2 and 3. It was an enjoyable weekends flying even if a little wet. Many thanks to all competitors and to all the members of the club who helped with the event. | | | Up Coming Events | | A Heli event organised by PJ Harte will be held in Augest. | | | Notices | | Members have requested that anyone using Futaba 2.4Ghz radios ensure they are the ONLY 2.4Ghz turned on at the field. This is due to the zeroing problem currently with this range of radios. Turing on these radios may result in other members flying on 2.4Ghz to loose complete control of their model.....which could be nasty with the helis!!! | |
