Things are starting to look up for me. :)

I've lost 25 of 70 pounds, so I'm over one-third of the way to my goal.

It only took 40+ years, but I *finally* met someone I really like. I mean a lot. He's the most wonderful man in the world and we have SO much in common!

  • Bah humbug

    Well, I only lost 10 pounds in September. Not good, considering I'm eating less than 800 calories a day (most days) and I'm burning 1000+ calories a day at the gym. It flies in the face of logic that I'm not losing more weight than what I am, but the scales don't lie.
    Juicing every day was getting to be too much like work, so a typical day now consists of...
    Breakfast: Cup of coffee. (Approx 30 cals with creamer)
    Pre gym: Veggie pattie and a few jalapeno slices. (Approx 160-180 cals)
    Lunch: Nada (ZERO cals)
    Dinner: One veggie, such as Brussel sprouts or broccoli. (Approx 200 cals)
    Evening snack: Two pieces of dark chocolate and one beer. (Approx 200 cals)
    Water/Crystal Light/diet soda throughout the day. (ZERO cals)
    I wake up during the night sometimes totally hungry, but the weight still isn't moving off.
    Here's to doing better in October...

  • Happy happy, joy joy!

    I finally met a man I really like. He's sweet, smart, sexy, charming, funny... he's easy to talk to... and he also has the nicest smile and the most gorgeous hazel eyes... in a word, he's wonderful!

    We also have a lot in common... we like the same sort of music, we're Star Trek geeks, we're Catholic, we like to drink beer, we majored in Psychology in college (so he actually did something with his degree and I didn't, but still), we have "lead feet" when we drive, and we have the same political views.

    I'm not usually a believer in asking God for favors, but I'm really praying that things work out for us...

  • 20 pounds thinner

    So now we're into the first week of September, and I've lost 21 pounds total and two dress sizes.
    :D
    My typical weekday:
    Breakfast: One cup of coffee for breakfast (with sugar free creamer).
    Get some work done.
    Lunch: A stalk of broccoli, mixed greens, 2-3 carrots, half a tomato and half a sweet potato all thrown in the juicer, mixed with one packet of green powder and one big scoop of protein powder. Not only does this give me all my veggie servings for the day, but these veggies help to prevent cancer.
    Hit the gym - one hour on the treadmill, one hour on the bike and a half to one hour in the weight room.
    Go home, shower and get some more work done.
    Dinner: More veggies, but not juiced this time. Usually broccoli or brussel sprouts, with a protein like a chicken breast or (splurge!) salmon fillet.
    Watch TV/play on the internet/get more work done (sometimes working from home has its advantages). Have a beer - usually Michelob Ultra or MIller Lite - but NO SNACK FOODS!
    Dessert/bedtime snack: Two pieces of dark chocolate. It contains flavonoids, so it counts as a health food. ;)
    Goal for September: Lose another 15-20 pounds...

    How are you and Miss Stephanie doing, We hope you are well.
    I just wanted to say hello and give you an update on the boys.
    Allan attended nlr catholic academy last year. He enjoyed kg but we didn't gel with the school or adm. We have enrolled Allan in eStem (new school in LR) and he started 1st grade this past Monday. He is loving it and the curriculum is right up his alley (latin, technology).
    Owen is 2 1/2 and a good boy, very like Allan. The twins, however, are like two thugs. They are 19 months and are so funny, we just sit and watch them. Julie Bibb has put Alex at eStem as well.
    We would love to hear from you, give us a call some time.

    Hi Anne,
    It's great to hear from you!
    We are all well. Allan loves his new school and is doing great. Only 3 others in his class are from st. pats. He is adjusting well. He had his tonsils out in July and is doing much better without them.

    Other babies are growing like weeds and moving nonstop.
