THE NEW FIGHTING CONCEPT
Just a name I gave, to a fighting art that I developed. It is nothing special, but rather a reflection, of the experiance I have obtained over 35 years. To test its appliability as a fighting art, it compeats in full contact tournaments such as Western Boxing, K-1, Muay-Thai, Kick-Boxing and No Rules(Extreme Fighting).

  • P.K.C OVERULES JUDGES

    The S.A title fight between Giovanni Bushby and Pat Mafika has been overuled, an independent panel of judges voted Giovanni as the winner.
    Pat will have to defend his title against Giovanni.
    Sadly Giovanni broke his hand again in training...... Waiting for doctors diagnosis.

    GOODBYE SANDRA

    Sandra lost her fight on a points decision
    Due to work Sandra had left for Johannessburg. I believe that this contributed to Sandra,s loss. How ever it's sad for me to say this , but Sandra and myself have cancelled our contract with each other, she will train and be managed by Manny Fernandos. I wish her all the best in the future with boxing.
    We will always be friends.

  • CONTROVERSY

    Giovanni's attempt to win the South African Muay-thai Title, from Pat Mafika, was one of controversy, again it seems to me that judges in Durban are biased and bring disrepute to the sport.
    I had Giovanni winning four rounds to Pat's one.
    Giovanni broke his hand in two places in the first round and still managed to outbox the champ.

    i was sorry to hear about giovanni's loss when he had his title shot. and i read your letter that you sent to the pkc. not having seen it theres not too much i can say about that fight.
    however i did go watch giovanni fight on the 27th of june. im not one to pay compliments but to say that i enjoyed watching that fight would be an absolute understatement. when toole talks about the magic of boxing, giovanni is what he was talking about. the way that dude moved that night... his form/technique and the execution. how he impossed his will on his opponent, the punches he chose. the punches he slipped. how his feet danced circles around that kid. it was absolutely beautifull to watch. thats the sweet science. and thats what people appreciate. evident in how nuts the crowd was chanting mlungu

    Not much, I was due to fight on the 11 April, but my opponent dropped out. So we are looking for options in the states. I am working with an american coach who has plenty of contacts - so we are going to give that a go. If not, retirement just might have to be an option... i hope not!
