  • JCK Spirit X music video and our big adventure to Wellington

    Hey Friends

James CK, Lou Ludbrook and Alex Sintes headed off to Wellington on Friday the 21st of September in a rental car to shoot a music video for the JCK song Spirit X.

We were supposed to fly but on arrival at the airport we discovered that we had booked the flights for the 21st of November because of the stupid computer system defaulting to the nearest available flight rather then the one we requested.

But we made it safe and sound after 8 hours of driving had a few beers and then crashed out.

In the morning we headed off with director and film maker extraordinare Mr James Manntan from Get This One productions to our first location by the water near Tepapa in Wellington city. After that it was off to Mt Victoria where we shot most of the footage in the forest with the dappled light playing to que through the trees.

From what I could see from our handycam footage and the stills that you can see above in the slide show, its going to look dope.

On the second day we went to the studio's to film against a plain white background and having finished all the shots that needed us we retired back to Jame's house were we got on the piss and started filming another video for 'Radio song'. Since we had all the equipment we needed and a plain white wall in the house to use as a back drop we thought we'de just nock one out for fun. It was a bit rough because we had all had too much to drink but we took enough footage to peice a lil something together.

All in all a great adventure! So watch out for them on C4, Alt and Juice around November. Should be great success or we be execute!

    Peace!

  • Touring is fun

Touring is fun, you should do it some time. I don't care if you don't have a band, just make one then book some shows. Four of us went to Wellington, Dunedin, Tauranga(the Mt.), Christchurch and played in Auckland before we left. The four troopers were , JCK,The Robba Drums and Mince. 1 of us was arrested. some of us took drugs. all of us drank beer. 3 of us smoked cigis. 1 of us bought the new Deftones album. 3 of us slept in a tent in the rain inbetween a train track and statehighway one. 2 of us saw the singer from Fat Freddys drop. 3 of us went to a strip club. 2 of us have issues with christchurch. all of us signed autographs and all of us saw 'fast food nation'good movie........ 2 of us thought avril lavine was a supurb actress. 1 of our shows was bounced for timmy schummacher cause Dunedins Backstage bar manager is greedy. We played a rugged house party instead which was freakin awesome anyway. Then we went to Radio one at uni and did some drunken 5am live raps. Cheers to radio active for not hating us when we rolled up for an interview, chur for da eur play Cheers to all the friends who took us into their homes Cheers to everyone who came to the shows and bought cds, I won't forget you Cheers to the bands we played with, Beatroots, Tommy Ill...
