Fancy meeting up with other parents and learning something new AND useful WITH your little one?
Parents with LITTLE OR NO Spanish will learn with their child. The aim of the game is to have fun with Spanish at an early age! Giving the babies an advantage when they come to learn languages at school and nursery.
All babies and young children are welcome to come along.
Classes are held every Friday at 11am in the Vineburgh Centre in Irvine.
We have kept the prices low as we believe that education should be accessible to all - the prices reflect the cost of equipment and hall hire only.
Class costs £15.00 for five sessions or £3.50 per class.

The Traditional Birthday song in Spain is a little different to ours
it goes like this :

Qué reine la paz en tu día,
Y qué cumplas muchos más.
Here´s the translation :
Happy, happy on your day,
Friend, may God bless you,
May peace reign on your day,
And may you have/complete many more (birthdays, years).

Over recent years, there has been a gradual switch in Spain away from celebrating the Catholic Saint´s day (or name day), in favour of celebrating the day on which a person was born (like we do here in the UK).
Each saint has his/her own special day in the calendar and, on that day, children named after the saint celebrate and receive presents/cards.
Children, traditionally, would be named after the saint on whose day they were born.
Later, children were given a saint´s name as a first or middle name so that the child could have a saint´s day.
Although celebrating the birthday has increased in popularity, the Catholic tradition of recognizing the saint´s day is still very strong.0 Comments 116 days
we are getting some enquiries from parents who have returned to work during the week + still want to spend time with their little ones and learn spanish with them.
if you are interested in a SATURDAY MORNING CLASS then please get in touch ASAP regarding this.
Class will be held in the Ayrshire, Renfrewshire or Glasgow area - dependant on numbers.
Class must be booked in advance and have a minimum number of children to run.
Everyone is welcome (including primary aged children in P1 P2 and P3).
children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The accompanying adult is responsible for the child at all times during the class.
Children are free to roam about the class and are not restricted to stay in a sitting position or in a circle etc. at any time.

The group is currently held in ARDROSSAN (just a wee bus ride away or short trip up the by pass for Castleparkers).
Classes run on WEDNESDAYS at 11AM.

El padre de mi hija es de Madrid y para hablar con el - ella debe de aprender el castellano. Creo que es mas facil aprender un idioma desde ahora mismo. (el no esta en escocia con nosotros pero quiero que ella haya contacto con el - el no puede hablar muy bien el ingles).
