What does the government need to do to help people affected by eating disorders?
a) Provide treatment and services all over the UK that are accessible to everyone who needs it.
b) Provide full funding to those people who can't afford private eating disorders care.
c) Make the NICE Guidelines compulsory.

YOUR fat joke could be the start of the downward spiral of some's life. Happy today, anorexic tomorrow. So, if you do anything else today, LEAVE the fat jokes, or on your concious be it when someone becomes anorexic or beolemic!!!

I think that no hospital helping people with eating disorders ect. should be shut, I know that if I didnt get the help I did from hospitals and stuff ide be struggling. I think what you are doing it great. Hope my comment helps. Good Luck.

in order to stop the closure of the henderson hospital

the henderson is a very special hospital
it treats people with mental health problem, eating disorders, emotional problems, self harm and people who suffer sucidial thoughts,

WHATS SO DIFFERENT I HEAR YOU ASK??

well the henderson (hendo) is MEDICATION FREE
it is resident run
and no one is locked up
basically it works through group therapy, art therapy, psycho therapy etc...

now the government are planning on shutting it down due to funding, however we are campagining to stop the closure and maintain national funding

Im sending MP paul burstow a copy of all supporting comments tomorrow so please guys do ur best the more comments i get the more chance we have

this hospital has saved and changed hundreds of people lives

Great site :)
I have bulimia and its horrible and so hard. One of the worst parts is that when you really need help, sometimes the people around you don't notice whats going on. I'm getting help and its good to see what you are doing to help others!

eating disorders make people feel so alone yet with b-eat theres that constant reminder that theres help and support whenever we need it.
3 years noww, finally getting over anorexia thanks to scarboro hospital, limetrees, beck house and of course b-eat.
i nearly died a couple times, and now ive realised just how precious life is.
thank you soo much. :) truly amazing

This is a great idea, wish we had something like this in NZ. I've had depression and an eating disorder for six years now, and really struggling at the moment with food and eating/keeping it down as well as cutting. Looks like you guys at B-eat are doing a great job, good on you!

No Big Deal
Ive been in hospital for about a month now as i have anorexia. puttin on weight quickly tho n feelin alot better. everyday is a struggle though and i look in th mirror and hate what i see. But i know i have to stick at it and short term loss=long term gain. keep up the good work all you's in recovery xxxx
